Qaza'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) sent me for some task and said: "Come close so that I may bid you farewell in the same manner as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bid me farewell when sending me for a task." Then he took my hand and said: "I entrust your religion, your trustworthiness, and the outcome of your deeds to Allah."

Once, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "O Zubair, protect yourself from becoming a means of spreading heresy in Allah's Sacred Sanctuary, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'A man from the Quraysh will spread heresy in the Sacred Sanctuary. If the sins of all mankind and jinn were weighed against his sins, his sins would outweigh them.' So beware, do not be that man."
