Chapter: Description of Images
Hadith Number: 1749
حدثنا احمد بن منيع، حدثنا روح بن عبادة، حدثنا ابن جريج، اخبرني ابو الزبير، عن جابر، قال: " نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الصورة في البيت، ونهى ان يصنع ذلك "، قال: وفي الباب، عن علي، وابي طلحة، وعائشة، وابي هريرة، وابي ايوب، قال ابو عيسى: حديث جابر حديث حسن صحيح.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade keeping pictures in the house and also forbade making them 1. Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Jabir is Hasan Sahih,
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Ali, Abu Talhah, Aisha, Abu Hurairah, and Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with them).
