It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If something less than a fingernail of Paradise were to appear in this world, all four directions of the earth and sky would be adorned. And if a man from Paradise were to look into this world and his bracelet became visible, its light would outshine the light of the sun just as the sun's light outshines the light of the stars."

Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) stated in his final will that my grave should be made in the lahd style, and raw bricks should be placed over it just as was done with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding wiping over the leather socks:“There is no harm in it.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I never heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say about any living person that "he is a person of Paradise walking on the earth," except for Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him).

Abu Uthman says that when the issue of Ziyad’s lineage became very prominent, one day I met Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked him,“What have you people done?”I heard Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that my own ears heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):“Whoever, in the state of Islam, ascribes himself to someone other than his father, while he knows that he is not his father, Paradise is forbidden for him.”Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying this.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The hand of a thief will be cut off for stealing something equal in value to a shield."

Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once during the days of Mina, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to announce:“The days of Tashreeq are days of eating and drinking, so there is no fasting in them.”

Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the area between the two boundaries of Madinah Munawwarah is a sanctuary (Haram). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it a sanctuary just as Sayyiduna Ibrahim (peace be upon him) had declared Makkah Mukarramah a sanctuary. O Allah! Grant the people of Madinah double blessings and bless their Sa' and Mudd (measures).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a bowl was brought to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate the food that was in it. Some of it was left, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“A man from Paradise will come through this corridor who will eat this leftover food.”Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he had left his brother ‘Umair performing ablution, and he thought in his heart that ‘Umair would come from there. But Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) came from there and ate that food.
