It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that he performed eleven prostrations (sajdahs) in the Noble Qur'an with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), including the verse of prostration in Surah An-Najm.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, you will be called by your names and the names of your fathers, so keep good names.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Love for something makes you blind and deaf.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A sign of a person's wisdom is that he adopts moderation in his financial affairs.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and due to the intensity of the heat, we would place our hands on our heads. On that occasion, none among us was fasting except the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man entered the mosque of Damascus and made this supplication: O Allah! Grant me a companion in my solitude, have mercy on my estrangement, and grant me a good companion. Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) heard his supplication and said: If you are making this supplication with sincerity, then I am more fortunate than you in this supplication. I heard the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying in the explanation of this verse of the Holy Qur'an: "Among them are those who wrong themselves" , that the reckoning of the wrongdoer will be taken at his own place and that will be his grief and sorrow. "Among them are those who are moderate" , meaning some people will be of a middle rank, their reckoning will be easy. "And among them are those who are foremost in good deeds by Allah's permission" , these are the people who will enter Paradise without reckoning.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in intense heat, and due to the severity of the heat, we would place our hands on our heads. On that occasion, none of us was fasting except the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and Hazrat Abdullah bin Rawaha (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that a person asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the ruling on accepting gifts and grants from a king. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Without asking and without desiring, whatever Allah grants you, accept it, and benefit from it."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her in a state of intense anger. She asked the reason, so he said: "By Allah! I do not see any of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) among the people. Now, only this much remains that they gather together and perform the prayer."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) vomited, due to which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) broke his fast. The narrator says that once I met Hazrat Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) in the Prophet's Mosque, so I asked him about this as well. He said: I was pouring water for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for ablution.
