It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that he said: There was no one among us who encountered the world except that he inclined towards it and the world inclined towards him, except Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: Whoever is given the world, it will decrease his degrees with Allah, even if this servant is honorable in the sight of Allah.

Hazrat Ibn Tawoos narrates from his father, who says that I have not seen a person more pious than Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: A person is counted among the people of knowledge when he does not envy those above him, does not consider those below him insignificant, and does not seek wealth through his knowledge.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: No servant can attain the reality of faith until people begin to consider him mad because of his religion.

It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair that he says: I went to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), and I saw that he had spread his elbows and was reclining on a cushion filled with grass.

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: At the time when a believer emerges from the grave, the best of the forms he used to see will come to welcome him. The believer will say to it, "Who are you?" It will say to the believer, "I am the same (deed) that was with you in the world. I will not leave you until I make you enter Paradise."

It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah that he says Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) was asked whether the companions of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to joke with one another. He replied: Yes. But their faith in their hearts was stronger than mountains.

A person narrates that whenever Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) saw someone following the Sunnahs of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would think that something had affected that person.

It is narrated from Hazrat Amr that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say: Since the blessed soul of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was taken, I have not placed one brick upon another, nor have I planted any tree.
