Abdullah bin Ka'b narrates from his father: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed by him while he was entangled with one of his debtors. He said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is my debtor." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Will you not do this, that is, take half from him?" He indicated this with his blessed hand. So I said, "Yes! O Messenger of Allah!" Then he took half and forgave half. (The narrator is in doubt whether the word in the narration is "half" or "shatr" [portion] .)

Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Muslims are bound by the conditions they agree upon, and reconciliation among Muslims is permissible." These are the words of the narrator named Yunus, while other narrators have reported the wording as "among the people."

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Reconciliation among Muslims is permissible." These are the words in the original narration.

Kathir bin Abdullah narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather, that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The conditions set by the Muslims are to be fulfilled, except for a condition that makes something lawful unlawful, or makes something unlawful lawful."

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The conditions set by Muslims will be upheld, as long as they are according to what is right.”

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The conditions set by the Muslims will be upheld, as long as they are according to the truth."

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every good deed is charity. Whatever a man spends on his wife, on himself, it is written for him as charity. Whatever a man spends to protect his honor, that too is written for him as charity. Whatever a man spends, Allah is its guarantor (i.e., He will grant its reward), except for what is spent on construction or on a sinful act." The narrator says: I asked Muhammad bin Munkadir: "A man protects his honor through it—what does this mean?" He replied: "It means that he gives compensation to a poet or an ill-mannered person (so that he does not behave rudely with him)."

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever finds his goods with a person, he should take them, and the other person will make his claim against the one from whom he bought them."

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever finds his property itself with someone, then he has more right to that property, and the other person should go to the one from whom he bought it."

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "If a person's property is found in its original form with someone, then that person has a greater right to that property, and the buyer will go to the one from whom he bought it."
