Hazrat Aamir Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If someone says that marrying anyone from Banu Asad will be a divorce, then he should marry from another tribe."

Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah and Amr bin Muhammad, may Allah have mercy on them, said: "If someone says that every married woman is divorced, then it will be exactly as he said."

Hazrat Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: "If someone says, 'If I marry such-and-such woman, she is like my mother,'" so he replied: "If he marries before intercourse, he must give expiation."

Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: If someone marries a free woman and a slave woman at the same time, he said: "The marriage with the free woman will remain valid, and the marriage with the slave woman will be nullified."

Hazrat Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Every divorce and emancipation that occurs before ownership is invalid."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aamir Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that a woman said: I have sworn strict oaths that I will not marry after my husband. So Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Give precedence to what Allah has made lawful over what is forbidden."
