It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, a man fights to prove his bravery, a man fights out of national pride, and a man fights for show—among these, who is the one fighting in the way of Allah?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The one who fights so that the word of Allah may be exalted, he is the one fighting in the way of Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us and mentioned five things, and they are: Allah Almighty does not sleep, nor does sleep befit Him. He lowers and raises the scale. The deeds of the night are presented before Him during the day, and the deeds of the day are presented before Him during the night. His veil is light; if He were to remove it, the entire creation would burn up as far as His gaze reaches.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no one more patient than Allah when hearing something hurtful. Others are associated with Him, yet He still grants them well-being and sustenance, and removes their afflictions.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Three types of people will receive a double reward. The man who has a slave girl, and he teaches her good manners and gives her the best education, then sets her free and marries her, he will receive a double reward. Similarly, the slave who fulfills the right of Allah and also fulfills the right of his master, or the person from the People of the Book who believes in his own scripture and also believes in the Shariah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he too will receive a double reward.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that I, along with some people from my tribe, presented ourselves before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at a time when only three days had passed since the conquest of Khaybar. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us a share from it, and apart from us, he did not give a share of the spoils of war to anyone who had not participated in that battle.

Usayd says that once we were returning from Isfahan with Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him). We were traveling at a fast pace when "Aqilah" arrived. Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Is there any young man who can help the young woman dismount from her mount?" I said, "Why not?" So I brought her mount near a tree and helped her dismount, then came and sat with the people. He said, "Shall I not narrate to you a hadith that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to narrate to us?" We said, "Why not? May Allah's mercy descend upon you." He said, "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to tell us that before the Hour, 'Harj' will occur." The people asked, "What is meant by 'Harj'?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Killing." The people asked, "Even more than the number we kill? We used to kill more than seventy thousand people every year!" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "It does not mean killing the polytheists, rather it means killing one another, to the extent that a man will kill his neighbor, his uncle, his brother, and his cousin." The people asked, "Will our intellects be with us at that time?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The intellects of the people of that time will be taken away, and foolish people will remain who will think they are upon a religion, but they will not be upon any religion." Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) says, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, if that time comes, I will not find any way out for myself or for you except that we leave it as we entered it, and do not become involved in anyone's killing or wealth."
