Hadith of Zaidah or Mazidah ibn Hawalah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20354
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Hawalah that once I presented myself in the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was sitting in the shade of a tree and there was a scribe with him to whom he was dictating something. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "O Ibn Hawalah, should we not write you down as well?" I submitted, "I do not know what Allah and His Messenger have preferred for me." So the Prophet (peace be upon him) turned away from me, and again leaned towards the scribe to dictate. After a while, the same question and answer took place. Then I saw that the names of Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar were written in the document. I thought in my heart that the names of these two could only be written for a good purpose. Then for the third time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "O Ibn Hawalah, should we not write you down as well?" I submitted, "Yes." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "O Ibn Hawalah, when tribulations erupt in the corners of the earth like the horns of a cow, what will you do?" I submitted, "I do not know what Allah and His Messenger will prefer for me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Make Syria obligatory upon yourself." Then he asked, "After that, when another tribulation will immediately appear, which will be like the speed of a rabbit, then what will you do?" I replied as before. Now I do not remember what the Prophet (peace be upon him) said this time. Knowing the answer to this would be more beloved to me than such and such things.

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hawalah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Soon there will be an army in Syria and one in Yemen. A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, when this happens, give preference to one for me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said three times, "Make Syria obligatory upon yourself. Hadith of a man who saw the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 20360
Abu Salil says that once, in Baqi’, a man stood up in our gathering and said that my father or uncle narrated this hadith to me: that once he saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Jannat al-Baqi’, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying,“Whoever gives something in charity, I will testify in his favor on the Day of Resurrection.”Upon hearing this, I began to untie one or two folds of my turban so that I could give them in charity, but then I was overcome by the same hesitation that usually befalls the sons of Adam, so I tied my turban back.
A little while later, a man came, the likes of whose dark and wheat-colored complexion I had never seen in Jannat al-Baqi’, and he was leading a she-camel, the most beautiful she-camel I had ever seen in all of Jannat al-Baqi’. He came and said,“O Messenger of Allah, may I present something in charity?”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“Yes.”He said,“Then please accept this she-camel.”Then that man left. I said,“Such a man is giving this in charity! By Allah, this she-camel is better than him.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) heard this and said,“You are wrong; rather, he is better than you and this she-camel.”He said this three times. Then he said,“Destruction is for those who possess hundreds of camels, except...”The people asked,“O Messenger of Allah, except whom?”He said,“Except the one who spends his wealth in such and such a way.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) closed his palm and gestured to the right and left. Then he said,“Successful is the one who is indifferent to the world and strives hard in worship.”
