حَدِيثُ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of Ma'qil ibn Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20313
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا زيد يعني ابن مرة ابو المعلى ، عن الحسن ، قال: ثقل معقل بن يسار ، فدخل إليه عبيد الله بن زياد يعوده، فقال: هل تعلم يا معقل اني سفكت دما؟ قال: ما علمت , قال: هل تعلم اني دخلت في شيء من اسعار المسلمين؟ قال: ما علمت , قال: اجلسوني , ثم قال: اسمع يا عبيد الله حتى احدثك شيئا لم اسمعه من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة ولا مرتين، سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من دخل في شيء من اسعار المسلمين ليغليه عليهم، فإن حقا على الله تبارك وتعالى ان يقعده بعظم من النار يوم القيامة" , قال: انت سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: نعم غير مرة ولا مرتين.
Hasan says that once Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. Ubaydullah bin Ziyad came to visit him during his illness and said, "O Ma'qil, do you think that I have shed anyone's blood?" He replied, "I do not know." Ibn Ziyad asked, "Do you think that I have interfered in the prices of the Muslims?" He replied, "I do not know. Lift me up and make me sit." Then he said, "O Ubaydullah, listen. I narrate to you a hadith which I have not heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) just once or twice. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever interferes in the prices of the Muslims, it is incumbent upon Allah to seat him in the great part of Hell on the Day of Resurrection.'" Ibn Ziyad asked, "Did you yourself hear this hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied, "Yes, not just once or twice."

Hadith Number: 20314
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق ، حدثنا عبد الله , وعتاب ، حدثنا عبد الله بن المبارك ، اخبرنا سليمان التيمي ، عن ابي عثمان وليس بالنهدي، عن ابيه ، عن معقل بن يسار ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اقرءوها على موتاكم" قال علي بن إسحاق في حديثه: يعني يس .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ma'qil that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite Surah Yaseen for your deceased.

Hadith Number: 20315
حدثنا هوذة بن خليفة ، حدثنا عوف ، عن الحسن ، قال: مرض معقل بن يسار مرضا ثقل فيه، فاتاه ابن زياد يعوده، فقال: إني محدثك حديثا سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " من استرعي رعية، فلم يحطهم بنصيحة، لم يجد ريح الجنة، وريحها يوجد من مسيرة مئة عام" , فقال ابن زياد: الا كنت حدثتني بهذا قبل الآن؟! قال: والآن لولا الذي انت عليه لم احدثك به.
Hasan says that once Hazrat Ma'qil fell ill and the illness left him exhausted. Ibn Ziyad came to visit him. He said, "I will narrate to you a hadith which I heard from the Prophet (peace be upon him): Whoever is made responsible for the affairs of the people and does not encompass them with goodwill will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise, even though the fragrance of Paradise can be perceived from a distance of one hundred years." So Ibn Ziyad said, "Why did you not narrate this hadith before?" He replied, "If I had not seen you in this position, I would not have narrated this hadith to you."
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد قوي
حَدِيثُ قَتَادَةَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Hadith of Qatadah ibn Milhan (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20316
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا همام ، حدثنا انس بن سيرين ، عن عبد الملك بن قتادة بن ملحان القيسي ، عن ابيه ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يامرنا بصيام ليالي البيض ثلاث عشرة، واربع عشرة، وخمس عشرة، وقال:" هي كصوم الدهر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to fast on the white days, that is, the 13th, 14th, and 15th of the lunar month, whose reward is equal to fasting for the entire month.

Hadith Number: 20317
حدثنا عارم ، حدثنا معتمر ، قال: وحدث ابي ، عن ابي العلاء بن عمير ، قال: كنت عند قتادة بن ملحان حين حضر، فمر رجل في اقصى الدار، قال: فابصرته في وجه قتادة، قال: وكنت إذا رايته كان على وجهه الدهان، قال: وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مسح على وجهه ..
Abu Alaa bin Umair says that I was present with Hazrat Qatadah bin Milhan when the time of his death approached. At that moment, a man passed by from the farthest corner of the house; I saw him in front of Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him). Whenever I looked at Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him), it seemed as if oil had been applied to his face. In fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had passed his blessed hand over his face.

حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا شعبة ، حدثني انس بن سيرين ، عن عبد الملك رجل من بني قيس بن ثعلبة، عن ابيه , ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يامرهم بصيام ايام البيض , ويقول:" هن صيام الشهر" , او قال:" الدهر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to fast on the white days, that is, the 13th, 14th, and 15th of the lunar month, which in reward are equal to fasting the entire month.

حدثنا روح ، حدثنا همام ، عن انس بن سيرين ، عن عبد الملك بن قتادة بن ملحان القيسي ، عن ابيه ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يامرنا ان نصوم الليالي البيض ثلاث عشرة، واربع عشرة، وخمس عشرة، وقال:" هن كهيئة الدهر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to fast on the white days, that is, the 13th, 14th, and 15th of the lunar month, which in reward are equal to fasting the entire month.

حدثنا روح ، حدثنا شعبة ، قال: سمعت انس بن سيرين ، قال: سمعت عبد الملك بن المنهال يحدث، عن ابيه ، قال: وكان من اصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يامرنا بصيام ايام البيض الثلاثة، ويقول:" هن صيام الدهر" .

Hadith of a Bedouin (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 20322
حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن حميد بن هلال ، قال: سمعت مطرفا يحدث، عن اعرابي ، قال: " رايت في رجل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نعلا مخصوفة" .
It is narrated from a Bedouin companion that I have seen patched shoes on the feet of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
