It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qais bint Mihsan that once I brought my child, who had not yet started eating or drinking, to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The child urinated on the Prophet (peace be upon him), so the Prophet (peace be upon him) called for water and sprinkled it on that spot. Then, when I brought my son again, I was holding him by the throat. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Why do you strangle and cause pain to your children by holding them by the throat like this? Use Indian costus (Qust Hindi), for in it there is a cure for seven diseases, one of which is pleurisy (dhat al-janb). In case of throat swelling, Qust Hindi should be dropped into the nose, and in case of pleurisy, it should be dropped at the side of the mouth."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the cloth which gets menstrual blood on it, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Scrape it off with a rib bone."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about a garment that gets menstrual blood on it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Scrape it off with a rib bone and wash it with water and lotus leaves."

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Qais bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) that once I came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bringing with me a child of mine who had not yet started eating food... Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sahla (may Allah be pleased with her) that she once submitted in the court of the Prophet: O Messenger of Allah! Abu Hudhaifah’s slave Salim comes to me and he has a beard. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Give him your milk to drink. She said: How can I give him milk to drink when he has a beard on his face? Eventually, she gave Salim her milk to drink, and then he used to come and go to her place.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umaymah bint Ruqaiqah that I, along with some Muslim women, presented myself before the Prophet (peace be upon him) to pledge allegiance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed us to do so according to our ability and strength. I said: Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. O Messenger of Allah! Please accept our pledge. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "(Go, I have accepted the pledge of all of you.) I do not shake hands with women. My statement to a hundred women is the same as to one woman."

We all said: O Messenger of Allah! We have come to you to pledge allegiance on these conditions: that we will not associate anything with Allah, will not steal, will not commit adultery, will not kill our children, will not fabricate any slander between our hands and feet, and will not disobey you in any good work. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us: and do so as much as you are able and to the best of your ability. I said: Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. O Messenger of Allah! Accept our pledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(Go, I have accepted the pledge from all of you) I do not shake hands with women; my word to a hundred women is the same as to one woman." Thus, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with any of us women.
