Before the prohibition of riba by Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had forbidden the repetition of that prayer the next day after he had commanded it, and he informed his companions that Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, does not prohibit riba and then accept riba from His servants, and two prayers for one prayer is like a dirham for two dirhams, and likewise with whatever is not permissible to have disparity in.

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we traveled at night with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when the last part of the night came, we camped and sleep overcame us. Then only the heat and warmth of the sun woke us up. So everyone rushed anxiously towards the water for ablution, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered them and they performed ablution. Then he ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave the call to prayer (adhan). Then he prayed the two sunnah of Fajr. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered Bilal, and he gave the iqamah. Then they said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we have been greatly negligent. Should we not repeat it at this time tomorrow?" So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Your Lord forbids you from usury."

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of the Trench, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came and began to speak ill of the disbelievers of Quraysh, and said, "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I did not pray the Asr prayer until the sun was about to set." So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "By Allah, I too have not prayed the Asr prayer." Then he (peace be upon him) descended into the valley of Bathan and performed ablution, then after the sun had set, he prayed the Asr prayer, and after that he performed the Maghrib prayer. If they are performed at the time of the last prayer among them, and it is sufficient for each prayer among them with a single iqamah, and the evidence against the statement of those who claim that if the times of the prayers have passed, they are not to be performed in congregation, but rather are to be performed individually.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of the Trench, we were prevented from performing the prayers until some time had passed after Maghrib, and this happened before any revelation regarding the battle was sent down. Then, when we were relieved from fighting, and this was in accordance with Allah Almighty’s statement «‏‏‏‏وَكَفَى اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْقِتَالَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيزًا» ‏‏‏‏ [ سورة الأحزاب: 25 ] "And Allah was sufficient for the believers in battle, and Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal, and he gave the iqamah for Zuhr, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer just as he used to perform it at its time. Then the iqamah for Asr was given, and he performed it just as he used to perform it at its time. Then the iqamah for Maghrib was given, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Maghrib prayer just as he used to perform it at its time.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we camped with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during a journey in the last part of the night, but we did not wake up until the sun had risen. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone should take hold of the reins of his mount (and set off), for indeed, Satan has come to our place of encampment." So we complied with the command. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water, performed ablution, then offered two units of Sunnah prayer, then the call for the obligatory prayer (iqamah) was given, and he led us in the morning (Fajr) prayer.

Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), these words are present: so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered two units of prayer, then performed the Fajr prayer. In the narration of Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him), it is also mentioned in the same way.
