(Third chain) ‘Abdah bin Abi Lubabah says: The freed slave of Sayyiduna Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him), Warrad, informed him that Sayyiduna Mughira (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote to Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Warrad himself wrote this letter. Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that when he would finish the prayer with salam, he would say:“La ilaha illallah…”… . The complete hadith was narrated. At the end of this narration, it is mentioned: Warrad said: After that, I went to Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), and I heard him instructing the people from the pulpit to recite this supplication and teaching it to them.

It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish the prayer with salam, he used to recite this supplication: "O Allah, You are Peace and from You is peace.
Abu Zubair says: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon on this pulpit, and he used to say that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer or prayers and turned for salam, he would say: "There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, and we worship none but Him, O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no god but Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it." (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, all sovereignty and all praise belong to Him, and He is capable of everything. There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except with Allah. We worship none but Him. O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it.)

(Second chain) Hisham bin Urwah says: When Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) would finish the prayer with salam, after every prayer he would say: La ilaha illallah... ... . He mentioned a similar hadith, but in this one, after La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, these words are included: La ilaha illallah wa la na'budu illa iyyahu. He says: And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to proclaim the oneness of Allah with these words after every prayer.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after completing the Maghrib and Fajr prayers, before leaving his prayer place and before folding his legs, recites this supplication ten times: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA AREEKA LAHU, LAHUL MULKU WALAHUL HAMD, BIYADIHIL KHAIR, YUHYEE WA YUMEET, WAHUWA ‘ALAA KULLI AY’IN QADE . (There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, in His hand is all good, He gives life and causes death, and He has power over all things.) For every time he says this, ten good deeds will be written for him, ten sins will be erased, and his ten ranks will be elevated, and these words will be a protection for him from every disliked thing and from the accursed Satan, and no sin except shirk will be able to destroy such a person, and such a person will be the most virtuous among all people in terms of deeds, except for the one who is more virtuous than him, that is, the one who recites this remembrance more than him.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and, complaining about work, said: "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, blisters have appeared on my hands because of the millstone; sometimes I grind flour and sometimes I knead dough." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If Allah grants you something, it will reach you, and I will guide you to something better than that. When you go to your bed, say 'Subhan Allah' thirty-three times, 'Allahu Akbar' thirty-three times, and 'Alhamdulillah' thirty-four times; this makes one hundred. This is better for you than a servant. And when you have performed the morning prayer, recite this supplication ten times: La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamdu yuhyi wa yumitu biyadihi’l-khayru wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir. Recite it ten times also after the Maghrib prayer. Because for each of these, ten good deeds are written, ten sins are forgiven, and each one is like freeing a slave from the descendants of Isma'il (peace be upon him), and no sin committed that day can destroy such a person, except if it is shirk. And this remembrance, when said in the morning, will be your protector from every devil and every evil thing until the evening."

Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after performing the Fajr prayer, recites this supplication ten times: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA AREEKA LAHU, LAHUL-MULKU WA LAHUL-HAMDU WA HUWA ‘ALAA KULLI AY’IN QADE , it will be equal to freeing four slaves, and in return, ten good deeds will be written for him, ten sins will be erased, his ten ranks will be elevated, and these words will protect him from Satan until the evening. And if he recites them after Maghrib, it will be the same.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) informed his servant Abu Ma’bad that during the Prophetic era, when people finished the obligatory prayer, they would raise their voices with dhikr. Furthermore, he said: In fact, when I used to hear this (dhikr’s) sound, I would recognize that the people had finished the prayer.
