Chapter: "Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice"
Hadith Number: 8597
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him): When this verse was revealed: {الَّذِینَ آمَنُوْا وَلَمْ یَلْبِسُوْا إِیمَانَہُمْ بِظُلْمٍ} … Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice… this was very hard on the people and they said: O Messenger of Allah! Who among us has not wronged himself? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It does not mean what you think. Have you not heard the words of the righteous servant when he said: {یَا بُنَیَّ لَا تُشْرِکْ بِاللّٰہِ إِنَّ الشِّرْکَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِیمٌ} … O my dear son! Do not associate anything with Allah. Indeed, associating partners with Allah is a great injustice. In this verse, injustice means shirk (associating partners with Allah). In another narration, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have you not heard what Luqman said to his son: {لَا تُشْرِکْ بِاللّٰہِ إِنَّ الشِّرْکَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِیمٌ} … Do not associate anything with Allah. Indeed, associating partners with Allah is a great injustice.

Chapter: "And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best"
Hadith Number: 8598
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when this verse was revealed: {وَلَا تَقْرَبُوْا مَالَ الْیَتِیمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِی ہِیَ أَ حْسَنُ} … Do not go near the wealth of the orphan, except in a way that is better. So the people separated the wealth of the orphans, and when they separated it, their food began to spoil and the meat began to stink. When this was mentioned to the Prophet (peace be upon him), this verse was revealed: {وَإِنْ تُخَالِطُوْہُمْ فَإِخْوَانُکُمْ وَاللّٰہُ یَعْلَمُ الْمُفْسِدَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِ} … If you mix with the orphans, then they are your brothers. Allah knows the corrupter from the reformer. After this command, the Companions mixed their food with theirs.

Chapter: "And, indeed, this is My straight path"
Hadith Number: 8599
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line for us and said: This is the path of Allah Almighty. Then he drew several lines to its right and left and said: These are separate paths, upon each of which is a devil calling towards it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {واَنَّ ہٰذَا صِرَاطِی مُسْتَقِیمًا فَاتَّبِعُوْہُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِکُمْ عَنْ سَبِیلِہِ} … And that, indeed, this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow other paths, for they will separate you from His path.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The sun sets beneath the Throne, then it is granted permission, then it returns. When that night comes in which it must rise from the west in the morning, it will not be granted permission to return. When morning comes, it will be said to the sun: Rise from where you came (i.e., from the west). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {ہَلْ یَنْظُرُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ تَاْتِیَہُمُ الْمَلٰیِکَۃُ اَوْ یَاْتِیَ رَبُّکَ اَوْ یَاْتِیَ بَعْضُ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّکَ یَوْمَیَاْتِیْ بَعْضُ اٰیٰتِ رَبِّکَ لَا یَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا اِیْمَانُہَا لَمْ تَکُنْ اٰمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ اَوْ کَسَبَتْ فِیْٓ اِیْمَانِہَا خَیْرًا قُلِ انْتَظِرُوْٓا اِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُوْنَ۔} … What are they waiting for except that the angels should come to them, or your Lord should come, or some sign of your Lord should come? On the day when some sign of your Lord comes, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before, or had not earned some good through its faith. Say: Wait, indeed we (too) are waiting.

Saeed bin Abi Arubah said about this verse {وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِی صُدُورِہِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ}: Qatadah narrated to us that Abu Mutawakkil Naji narrated to him that Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When the believers are granted deliverance from Hell, they will be stopped on a bridge between Paradise and Hell, and retribution for wrongs committed among themselves will be taken, until when they are purified and cleansed from them, then they will be permitted to enter Paradise. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! They will recognize their places in Paradise better than they recognized the way to their homes in the world. Qatadah said: Some narrators said: Just as they would return straight to their homes after offering Friday prayers in the world.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding Allah Almighty’s statement {فَلَمَّا تَجَلّٰی رَبُّہُ لِلْجَبَلِ جَعَلَہٗدَکًّا}“…So when his Lord appeared to the mountain, He made it crumble to dust.”said: It happened just like that. At the same time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) showed the edge of his little finger. When Mu’adh showed us this gesture, Humaid the Tall said: O Abu Muhammad! What do you mean by this example? But Abu Muhammad struck Humaid hard on the chest and said: Humaid! Who are you? What are you, Humaid! Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this to me from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and you ask,“What do you mean by this example?”

Hadith Number: 8604
It is narrated from Muslim bin Yasar al-Juhani that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about this verse: {وَاِذْ اَخَذَ رَبُّکَ مِنْ بَنِیْ آدَمَ مِنْ ظُھُوْرِھِمْ ذُرِّیَّتَھُمْ}. He said: I myself heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about this verse, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him), touched his back with His right hand, and brought forth his offspring from it and said: I have created these for Paradise, and they will do the deeds of the people of Paradise. Then He touched his back and brought forth more offspring and said: I have created these for the Fire, and they will do the deeds of the people of Hell. A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Then what is the status of deeds? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty creates a servant for Paradise, He grants him the ability to do the deeds of the people of Paradise, until he dies upon the deeds of the people of Paradise, and thus He admits him to Paradise. And when Allah Almighty creates a servant for the Fire, He grants him the ability to do the deeds of the people of Hell, until he dies upon the deeds of the people of Hell, and thus He admits him to the Fire.

Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him) says regarding the statement of Allah Almighty: And when your Lord took from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants, and made them testify against themselves. Its detail is that Allah Almighty gathered them, made them souls, then formed their images and gave them the power of speech, so they spoke. Then Allah Almighty took a firm covenant from them and, making them witnesses over themselves, said: Am I not your Lord? I make the seven heavens, the seven earths, and your father a witness over you, so that on the Day of Resurrection you may not say that we had no knowledge of this thing. Know well that there is no deity nor Lord besides Me, so do not associate anything with Me. Soon I will send My messengers to you, they will remind you of My covenant, and I will also send down My books upon you. They said: We bear witness that You alone are our Lord and deity, we have no Lord besides You. Thus, all of them acknowledged. Then Allah Almighty raised Adam (peace be upon him) over them; he saw among them the rich, the poor, the handsome, and the less beautiful, and said: O my Lord! Why did You not make them equal among themselves? Allah Almighty said: I desire that gratitude be shown to Me. He also saw among them the prophets, who appeared like lamps and had light upon them; they were distinguished with the covenant and pledge of prophethood and messengership. This is mentioned in the statement of Allah Almighty: And when We took from the prophets their firm covenant… Jesus son of Mary. Jesus (peace be upon him) was also among those souls. Then Allah Almighty sent that soul towards Lady Mary (may Allah be pleased with her), and it entered into her through her mouth.
