بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي اللِّعَانِ
Chapter: What is reported regarding li'an (mutual cursing)
Hadith Number: 1565
حدثنا خالد بن عبد الله، عن مصان، عن عامر الشعبي، قال: " ولد الملاعنة يلحق بامه، وإن رماه إنسان او رمى امه جلد".
Hazrat Aamir Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: After li'an, the child will be attributed to the mother, and if anyone accuses this child or his mother, he will be flogged.

Hadith Number: 1566
حدثنا خالد بن عبد الله، عن مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " ولد الملاعنة يلحق بامه، ويعقلون عنه" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: After li'an, the child will be attributed to the mother and blood money will be paid on his behalf.

Hadith Number: 1567
حدثنا هشيم، عن مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " من قذف ولد الملاعنة بامه جلد" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Whoever accuses a child born of li'an by attributing him to his mother (i.e., casting aspersions), he should be flogged.

بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَقْذِفُهَا فِي عِدَّتِهَا
Chapter: A man divorces his wife, then accuses her during her waiting period
Hadith Number: 1568
نا نا هشيم، انا هشام بن حسان، عن حيان الازدي، عن جابر بن زيد، عن ابن عمر ، انه قال في رجل طلق امراته ثم قذفها في العدة , قال:" إن كان طلقها ثلاثا جلد، والحق به الولد، ولم يلاعن , وإن طلقها واحدة لاعنها" . قال ابن عباس : " إن طلقها ثلاثا ثم قذفها في العدة لاعنها" , وقال جابر بن زيد: قول ابن عمر احب إلينا مما قال ابن عباس.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: If someone divorces his wife and then accuses her during her waiting period, then if he has given three divorces, the prescribed punishment will be carried out and the child will be attributed to him. And if he has given one divorce, then li'an (mutual cursing) will be done. Jabir bin Zaid said: The statement of Ibn Umar is more preferable than that of Ibn Abbas.

Hadith Number: 1569
It is narrated in the same manner from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Hadith Number: 1570
حدثنا هشيم، انا يونس، عن الحسن، انه كان يقول: " يلاعنها إذا طلقها ثلاثا، ثم قذفها في العدة" .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If someone gave three divorces and then accused his wife during the waiting period, he will perform li'an (mutual cursing).

Hadith Number: 1571
حدثنا حماد بن زيد، عن هشام، عن الحسن، في رجل يقذف امراته ثم طلقها ثلاثا , قال:" لا يلاعن" .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If someone first accused his wife (of adultery) and then gave three divorces, then li'an will not take place.

Hadith Number: 1572
حدثنا هشيم، انا مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، انه كان يقول: " إذا طلقها طلاقا بائنا ثم قذفها في العدة لاعنها" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If, after an irrevocable divorce, the wife is accused during her waiting period, then li'an will take place.

Hadith Number: 1573
حدثنا هشيم، انا إسماعيل بن ابي خالد، عن الشعبي، انه سئل عن رجل، طلق امراته ثلاثا، ثم قذفها في العدة , قال:" يلاعنها ما كانت في العدة , فإذا انقضت العدة جلد ولم يلاعن" .
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If someone gives his wife three divorces and accuses her during the waiting period, then he will perform li'an during the waiting period. If the waiting period ends, then the prescribed punishment will be carried out and li'an will not take place.

Hadith Number: 1574
حدثنا هشيم، انا يونس، عن الحسن، انه كان يقول: " إذا قذف الرجل امراته فطلقها ثلاثا لاعن حاملا كانت او غير حامل، وإذا طلقها ثلاثا ثم قذفها في العدة , فإن كانت حاملا لاعنها، وإن لم يكن حملا جلد" .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If someone divorces his wife and then accuses her (of adultery), whether she is pregnant or not, he will perform li'an (mutual cursing). And if, after three divorces, he accuses her during the waiting period, then if she is pregnant, he will perform li'an, and if she is not, the prescribed punishment (hadd) will be carried out.
