-" اما ابوك فلو كان اقر بالتوحيد، فصمت وتصدقت عنه نفعه ذلك".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: As bin Wa'il made a vow in the days of ignorance that he would slaughter one hundred camels (but he died before fulfilling the vow). His son Hisham bin As slaughtered fifty camels for his share, and the other son, Sayyiduna Amr, asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If your father had affirmed the oneness of Allah and you had fasted or given charity on his behalf, it would have benefited him."

Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): Hisham bin Mughirah used to maintain ties of kinship, host guests, free slaves, and feed people, and if he had found the era of Islam, he would have become a Muslim as well. Will these deeds prove beneficial for him? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“No, he used to give for worldly purposes, fame and reputation, and flattery and praise; he never said even for a single day: O my Lord! Forgive my sins on the Day of Resurrection.”

Abu Tamimah Hajimi narrates from a resident of Balhajim, he says: I said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you call towards? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I call only towards Allah, (that Allah) if harm reaches you and you call upon Him, He removes your harm. If you lose (your mount) in a barren land and you call upon Him, He returns (your mount) to you. And if you are afflicted with drought and you call upon Him, He (sends down rain and) causes vegetation to grow from the earth."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Satan comes to you and says: Who created you? This action will remove that doubt."

He says: I went out to make the announcement, and I encountered Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: Abu Bakr, where and how? I said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to go and announce among the people that whoever testifies that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, Paradise will become obligatory for him. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: (Without making this announcement) return to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); I fear that people will rely on this (glad tidings) and abandon action. I returned, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Why have you come back?" I told him what Sayyiduna Umar had said. He said: "Umar has spoken the truth."

- ابشروا وبشروا من وراءكم انه من شهد ان لا إله إلا الله صادقا دخل الجنة".
Abu Bakr bin Abu Musa narrates from his father, who says: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with some members of my tribe. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rejoice and give glad tidings to those who come after you that whoever bears witness with a sincere heart that Allah alone is the true deity, he will enter Paradise." We left the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to give people the glad tidings, and we met Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). (When he learned of the situation,) he sent us back to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Who sent you back?" We said: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Umar! Why did you send them back?" Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: (If people are given such glad tidings, they will rely on it and abandon further deeds.) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent upon hearing this.
