It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: A man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Guide me to such an action that if I adopt it, Allah will love me and people will also love me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Renounce the world and Allah will love you, and renounce what is with people and people will love you.”

Sayyiduna Rafi‘ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked:“Which earning is the best (and purest)?”He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied:“A man’s work with his own hand and every honest sale is the best earning.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Dawud (peace be upon him), who was a prophet, used to eat only from what he earned with his own hands."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has made the whole world insignificant, and the part of the world that now remains is even more insignificant among the insignificant. (Compared to the world that has passed, the part that remains) its example is like a pool of water situated in the shade, whose pure water has been drunk and only the turbid water remains."

Sayyiduna Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When revelation would descend upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we would come to him. One day he addressed us:“Indeed, Allah the Exalted has said: We have sent down wealth only for establishing prayer and giving zakat. If the son of Adam had a valley full of wealth, he would wish for a second one, and if he had two, he would desire a third. Nothing fills the belly of Adam except dust, and whoever repents to Allah, He accepts his repentance.”

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah loves that when any one of you performs a deed, he does it with strength (thoroughness and excellence)."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four types of people whom Allah Almighty dislikes: the one who sells goods by swearing oaths repeatedly, the arrogant poor person, the old adulterer, and the unjust ruler."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, traders are sinners." Someone said: O Messenger of Allah! Has Allah Almighty not made buying and selling lawful? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why not. But (the situation of these traders is that) when they speak, they lie, and they swear oaths (falsely), thus they become sinners."

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says: A Bedouin passed by me with a goat. I said: Will you sell it for three dirhams? He said: No, by Allah! Then he sold it anyway. When I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) of this, he said: "He has sold his Hereafter for the sake of this world."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayd bin Rifa’ah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I went out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) towards the Eid ground. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw people buying and selling and said:“O assembly of traders!”They responded to the call of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) by raising their necks and gazes towards him. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Indeed, on the Day of Resurrection, traders will be raised as sinners, except for the one who fears Allah, does good deeds, and speaks the truth.”
