Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Come and pledge allegiance to me on the condition that you will not associate anything with Allah, you will not steal, you will not commit adultery, you will not kill your children, you will not slander anyone, and you will not disobey me in matters of goodness. Whoever fulfills this pledge, his reward is with Allah. And whoever commits (any sin) and is punished for it in this world, that will be an expiation for him. And whoever commits (any sin) and Allah conceals it for him, then his matter is with Allah; if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will forgive him.”

Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best of your rulers are those whom you love and they love you, you pray for their well-being and they pray for your well-being. And the worst of your rulers are those whom you dislike and they dislike you, you curse them and they curse you." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Should we not break allegiance to them and rebel against them?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No, as long as they establish prayer among you. No, as long as they establish prayer among you. When you see things in your rulers that you dislike, then dislike that action, but do not withdraw your obedience from them."
