It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No example is found of two lovers like that of marriage."

Bahz bin Hakim narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! From where may a man approach his wife and from where should he not?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Approach your field as you wish, and when you eat, feed her as well, and when you clothe yourself, clothe her as well. Do not revile her face, nor strike her upon it."

Sayyiduna Amr bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever a man gives to his wife will be (counted as) charity."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Irbad bin Sariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a man gives water to his wife to drink, he receives reward." When I heard this hadith, I got up, gave water to my wife, and narrated this hadith to her.

Hajar bin Qais, who had witnessed the era of ignorance, says: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a proposal to marry Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is yours, provided that you treat her well."

Sayyiduna Ata bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there any sin in lying to one’s wife? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Do not lie, Allah does not like lying.”He said: O Messenger of Allah, (by lying) I want to make peace with her and make her happy. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Then there is no sin.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever incites a servant against his masters is not one of us, and whoever corrupts a wife against her husband is not one of us."

The wife of the Messenger, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: The Abyssinians were playing in the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Humaira! Do you want to watch them (playing)?" I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at the door, I came and placed my chin on his shoulder and supported my face on his cheeks (and stood like that). Those people kept repeating this phrase that day: " «ابا القاسم طيبا» " The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: "Is it enough now?" I said: O Messenger of Allah, do not hurry. He remained standing, and (after a while) again asked: "Is it enough now?" I said: O Messenger of Allah, do not hurry. In fact, I did not like to look at those people. I only wanted women to know what status I have with you and what status you have with me.

Sayyiduna Talq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any one of you calls his wife to fulfill his (natural) need, she should come to her husband, even if she is at the oven."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a man calls his wife, she should respond immediately, even if she is on the saddle."
