It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are three supplications that are accepted, there is no doubt about their acceptance: the supplication of the father, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the oppressed."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Travel and you will remain healthy, and perform jihad and you will become self-sufficient." This hadith is narrated mursal from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, Sayyiduna Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with them), and Zaid bin Aslam.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No spoils of war were ever lawful for any human before you; a fire used to descend from the sky and consume the spoils." On the day of the Battle of Badr, before the spoils were made lawful, people rushed upon them to acquire them. Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: «لَوْلَا كِتَابٌ مِنَ اللَّـهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَا أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ» "Had it not been for a prior decree from Allah, a severe punishment would have afflicted you for what you took." (8-Al-Anfal:68)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spoils of war were not lawful for the people before us. Allah Almighty made them lawful for us due to our weakness and helplessness."

Uthman bin Arqam bin Abu Arqam narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of Badr: "Whatever spoils of war you have, set them aside." Abu Sa'id Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) set aside the sword of Ibn 'Aidh Marzban. Arqam bin Abu Arqam recognized it and said: O Messenger of Allah, give this to me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to him.

Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that an Ansari man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) armed with weapons and said:“O Messenger of Allah! Should I fight or accept Islam?”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“No, rather accept Islam first, then fight in jihad.”He accepted Islam, then participated in jihad and was martyred. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“He performed (a little) action and received a great reward.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "At the beginning of leadership there is blame, at its end there is regret and remorse, and on the Day of Resurrection there is punishment."

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is necessary for people to have a leader, (but) the leader is in the Hellfire."

Sayyiduna Rabah bin Rabi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle. He saw some people crowding over something and sent a man (saying),“Go and see what the people are gathered over.”He returned and said,“They are gathered over a slain woman.”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“She should not have been killed.”At that time, the commander of the vanguard was Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message through a man, saying,“Tell Khalid not to kill a woman nor any servant.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Fajr prayer during a journey, he would dismount from his ride and walk for a while.
