Imam advising and teaching women
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went out (on the day of Eid from the men's rows towards the women) and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) thought that (perhaps) the women had not (properly) heard the sermon, so he advised them and instructed them to give charity. So (some) women started giving their earrings and (some) their rings (and some other things), and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) began collecting them in the corner of his garment.
Eagerness to hear hadith
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he (Abu Hurairah) said: O Messenger of Allah! Who will be the most fortunate of people to receive your intercession on the Day of Resurrection? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, I was sure, O Abu Hurairah, that no one would ask me about this before you, because I have seen your eagerness for (learning) hadith. So (listen!), the most fortunate of people to receive my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who says 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah) sincerely from his heart or sincerely from his soul."
How knowledge will be lifted near the Hour
Narrated Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-As (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Allah does not take away knowledge by removing it from the hearts of the servants, but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars (through death), until when no scholar remains, people will take ignorant ones as their leaders (muftis and guides), and they will be asked (religious questions) and will give verdicts without knowledge; they will go astray themselves and will lead others astray."
Can a day be set for women’s education?
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): The women said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "The men have surpassed us in benefiting from you, so please appoint a day for us (for admonition)." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) promised them a day. On that day, he met them, advised them, and commanded them with acts of worship suitable for them. Among what he said to them was: "Any woman among you whose three children die before her (i.e., they die in her lifetime), they will be a shield for her from the Fire (of Hell)." A woman asked, "And if (she loses) two (children)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "And two (as well)." And in the narration of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), it is mentioned: "Three children who did not reach the age of puberty."
Repeating question for understanding
Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that (on one occasion) the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:“(On the Day of Resurrection) whoever is called to account will be punished.”Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said (upon hearing this):“Does Allah not say, ‘Soon an easy account will be taken from him’ (Al-Inshiqaq: 8)?”(It is understood from this that after an easy account, punishment is not necessary.) So the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“This (account mentioned in this verse) is not actually an account, but only the presentation of deeds. But whoever is questioned in detail in the account will surely be destroyed.”
Present should convey knowledge to absent
Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave a statement on the second day of the conquest of Makkah, which my two ears heard and my heart remembered, and when you (peace be upon him) delivered this (sermon), my eyes were looking at you. You praised and glorified Allah, then said: "Allah has made Makkah (fighting and the like) sacred; people have not made it sacred. So whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, it is not permissible for him to shed blood in Makkah, nor is it permissible to cut down any tree there. Then if anyone argues for the permissibility of these things by the fighting of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in Makkah, then say to him that Allah gave permission to His Messenger, but He did not give you permission, and I too was only given permission for a short period of the day, then today its sanctity has returned to what it was yesterday. So, those who are present should convey this (news) to those who are absent."
Sin of lying about the Prophet
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not ever lie upon me, for whoever lies upon me should make his abode in the Hellfire."
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say:“Whoever attributes to me something which I have not said, then he should find his abode in the Fire.”
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "Keep my name, but do not keep my kunyah (my title, which is Abu al-Qasim) during my lifetime. And (be certain that) whoever sees me in a dream has indeed seen me, because Satan cannot assume my form, cannot take my appearance. And whoever deliberately lies about me should find his place in the Fire."
Writing knowledge is not innovation
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Allah Almighty prevented the Elephant (the army of elephants) or killing from Makkah, and made His Messenger (peace be upon him) and the believers victorious over them. Be aware, fighting in Makkah was not made lawful for anyone before me, nor will it be made lawful for anyone after me. Be aware, it was made lawful for me for only a short period during the day; be aware, (now) it is forbidden at this time. Its thorny plants should not be cut, its trees should not be felled, and its fallen things should not be picked up except by one who announces it (i.e., who seeks its original owner and returns it to him). And if anyone’s (relative) is killed, he has the choice of one of two options: either he is given blood money or retribution is taken (the killer is handed over to the heirs of the slain).”Meanwhile, a man from the people of Yemen came and said,“O Messenger of Allah! Write (this sermon) for me.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“Write it for Abu So-and-so.”Then a man from the Quraysh said,“(O Messenger of Allah!) Except for idhkhir (a type of grass), (please do not prohibit the cutting of idhkhir, as) we use it in our homes and graves.”So the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) said,“(Yes,) except for idhkhir (the prohibition applies to all other things).”
