مختصر صحيح بخاري
Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
Obligation and virtue of Hajj
Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them): (My brother) Fadl was riding with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when a woman from the tribe of Khath'am came, and Fadl began to look at her and she began to look at Fadl. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) turned Fadl's face to the other side. The woman said, "O Messenger of Allah! The obligation that Allah has placed upon His servants regarding Hajj has reached my elderly and weak father (i.e., Hajj has become obligatory upon him), but he cannot remain firm on the mount. Should I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Yes, perform Hajj on his behalf." And this (incident) happened during the Farewell Hajj.
Allah's command (Surah Hajj): People will come for Hajj from distant paths
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mount his riding animal at Dhul-Hulaifah, and when it stood upright with him, he would say the Talbiyah.
Traveling for Hajj by riding is Sunnah
Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Hajj while riding on a camel's saddle, and his belongings were also on that same camel.
Virtue of accepted Hajj (Hajj Mabrur)
Narrated by Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her): She asked, "O Messenger of Allah! We consider Jihad to be a very great act of worship, so should we not perform Jihad?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "No! Rather, the best Jihad is an accepted Hajj (Hajj Mabroor)."
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever performs Hajj for the sake of Allah and does not utter any obscene words nor commit any sin during it, he will return (from Hajj) as free from sins as the day his mother gave birth to him."
Where should people of Yemen enter Ihram?
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. These places are miqat for the residents of those places as well. And whoever comes from a place other than these, intending Hajj or Umrah, and passes by these (places), then these are also his miqat. Then, whoever lives closer to Makkah than these places, he should assume ihram from where he sets out. Similarly, the people of Makkah should assume ihram from Makkah itself.
((Chapter))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made his camel sit down in the plain of Dhul-Hulaifah, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer there, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do the same.
The Prophet's route via Shajrah for Hajj is established
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when going for Hajj, would take the route of Shajarah and would return by the route of Mu'arras. And indeed, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go towards Makkah, he would pray in the mosque of Shajarah, and when returning, he would pray in Dhul-Hulaifah, which is situated in the middle of the valley, and then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would spend the night there until morning.
The Prophet's saying: The valley of Aqiq is blessed
Ameer-ul-Mu'mineen Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saying in the valley of Aqiq: "Last night, a messenger from my Lord came to me and said (to me): Pray in this blessed valley (i.e., Aqiq) and say: 'I have entered into the state of Ihram for both Hajj and Umrah (because Umrah has been included in Hajj. Umrah can also be performed during the days of Hajj).'"
`Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was shown this dream in the last part of the night when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was staying near Mu'arris at Dhul-Hulaifah, and it was said to him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that at this time he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is in a blessed valley. (Remember that the dreams of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are also included in revelation.)
