If clothes have perfume, wash them three times before Ihram
Sayyiduna Ya’la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him),“Show me the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the state when revelation is being sent down to him.”So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said,“Alright.”Ya’la (may Allah be pleased with him) says that in that state, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was at the place of Ji’ranah when a man came to him and said,“O Messenger of Allah! What is your command regarding a person who has put on the Ihram for ‘Umrah while he is scented with perfume?”So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained silent for a while. Then revelation began to descend upon him, so Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) signaled to Ya’la (may Allah be pleased with him), so he came, and at that time a cloth was spread over the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), providing shade over him. So Ya’la (may Allah be pleased with him) put his head under that cloth and saw that the face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was red and he was snoring. Then that state was lifted from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he said,“Where is the man who asked about ‘Umrah?”That man was brought, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,“Wash off the perfume that you have applied three times, and take off your cloak from your body, and perform the acts of ‘Umrah just as you do in Hajj.”

What kind of clothes and waistcloth should a Muhrim wear?
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions, after combing their hair, applying oil, wearing a sheet, and tying a waist-wrapper, set out from Madinah. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not prohibit wearing any kind of sheet or waist-wrapper except for clothes dyed with saffron from which saffron would fall onto the body. Then in the morning, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his ride at Dhul-Hulaifah, and when he reached (the place) Bayda, his companions proclaimed the Talbiyah and put garlands on the necks of their sacrificial animals, and at that time, five days of the month of Dhul-Qa'dah remained. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Makkah on the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah, performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah, and performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, and he did not come out of Ihram because of his sacrificial animals, as he had already put garlands on their necks. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at the elevated place of Makkah near (the place) Hajun, and he was in the state of Ihram for Hajj. After performing Tawaf, he did not go near the Ka'bah until he returned from Arafah. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered his companions to perform Tawaf of the Ka'bah and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, then cut their hair and come out of Ihram. But this command was only for the one who did not have a sacrificial animal with him or had not put a garland on the animal's neck, and after cutting the hair, whoever had his wife with him, it became permissible for him to have intercourse, apply perfume, and wear clothes.

Then, when he reached Dhul-Hulaifah at the time of ‘Asr, he offered two rak‘ahs. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed in Dhul-Hulaifah for the whole night until morning came. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mounted (his ride), and when his mount reached Al-Baida’, he praised Allah, glorified Him, and proclaimed His greatness. After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pronounced the Talbiyah for both Hajj and ‘Umrah, and the people also pronounced the Talbiyah for both Hajj and ‘Umrah. Then, when we reached (Makkah), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the people to come out of the state of Ihram, so they came out of Ihram until the day of Tarwiyah came, and the people entered into Ihram for Hajj. Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) slaughtered several camels with his own hand while standing, and in Madinah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sacrificed two rams with horns.
