مختصر صحيح بخاري
Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
One who did not enter the Ka'bah during Hajj
Narrated Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ‘Umrah, then circumambulated the Ka‘bah and prayed two rak‘ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim. At that time, there was a man with him who was shielding him from the people. Then a person asked Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him):“Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) enter the Ka‘bah?”He replied,“No.”
One who said Takbir around the Ka'bah
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came (for Hajj), he refused to enter the Ka'bah, and (the reason was that) there were idols placed inside it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered that those idols be removed from there. Then people took out pictures of Ibrahim and Isma'il (peace be upon them) from inside (the idol), and in the hands of both of them were arrows for drawing lots. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "May Allah destroy these people! By Allah, they know that Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Isma'il (peace be upon him) never drew lots with arrows." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said takbeer around the Ka'bah and did not pray inside it.
How Raml (jogging) in Tawaf began
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and his companions came (to Makkah for Hajj), the polytheists (before his arrival) started saying among themselves that now a group is coming to us whom the fever of Yathrib has weakened. So (upon hearing this), the Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered them to perform ramal (brisk walk) in three circuits and to walk normally between the two Yemeni corners. And the reason why the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not order them to perform ramal in all the circuits was to make things easy for the people; there was no other reason for this.
Kissing the Black Stone and jogging in first Tawaf is Sunnah
Narrated Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when he entered Makkah, he would kiss the Black Stone in the first circuit of Tawaf and would perform Ramal (brisk walking) in three out of the seven circuits.
Jogging (Raml) in both Hajj and Umrah
Ameer-ul-Mu'mineen Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: What concern did we have with ramal? The only thing was that we showed our strength to the polytheists, and (now) Allah the Exalted has destroyed them. Then he said: We do not wish to abandon any act which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed.
`Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I have never abandoned touching these two Yemeni corners, whether in difficult circumstances or ease (in any situation), since I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) touching them.
Kissing the Black Stone with a stick
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Tawaf during the Farewell Hajj while riding his camel, and he kissed the Black Stone with a stick. (That is, he touched the Black Stone with a stick and then kissed it.)
Kissing the Black Stone is Sunnah
A person asked Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about kissing the Black Stone, so he replied: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) touching it and kissing it. The person said, "Tell me, if there is a crowd, (or) if people overpower me, then how should I kiss the Black Stone?" He replied, "Leave these ifs and buts in Yemen; I have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing it and touching it."
Tawaf of Ka'bah upon arrival before going home
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the very first act which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did upon arriving in Mecca was that he performed ablution, then performed Tawaf, and at that time, only performing Tawaf did not constitute Umrah. Then the Commander of the Faithful Abu Bakr Siddiq and our master Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with them both) also performed Hajj in the same manner.
The hadith regarding Tawaf narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) has just been mentioned (see the chapter: Upon arriving in Makkah, it is Sunnah to kiss the Black Stone and perform ramal in the first three circuits of the initial Tawaf...). In this narration, it is further stated that after performing Tawaf, he would offer two rak'ahs, then perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah.
