مختصر صحيح بخاري
Mukhtasar Sahih Bukhari
The Prophet’s (SAW) saying to the Ansar:“You are the most beloved to me.”
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Every prophet has followers, and we are your followers. Now pray for those who follow us, that Allah may include them among us." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed for them.
Virtues of the households of the Ansar
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Humayd (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Indeed, the best households among the Ansar..." — the entire hadith was narrated, which has already been mentioned earlier (see the Book: On Zakat... Chapter: Estimating the dates before ripening to obtain the ‘ushr). Then it is mentioned that Sayyiduna Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! The households of the Ansar have been praised and we have been placed at the last rank." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is it not enough for you that you are among the good people?"
The Prophet’s (SAW) saying to the Ansar:“Be patient until you meet me at the Hawd (Kawthar).”
Narrated from Sayyiduna Usaid bin Hudair (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah! You do not give me authority as you have given authority to such-and-such person?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "After me, you will see others being given preference over you, so be patient until you meet me at the Hawd (Pond) of Kawthar (on the Day of Resurrection)."
In another narration from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), it is stated: "And the place of your meeting will be the Pond of Kawthar."
Explanation of Allah’s saying:“They give preference to others over themselves even if they are in need.”(Surah Hashr)
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (he was hungry), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a message to his wives (asking if there was anything to eat), but they replied that they had nothing except water. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Who will take this man with him or host him?" Then a man from among the Ansar said, "I will (take him)." Then he (took him and) went to his wife and said, "This is the guest of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), honor him." She said, "We have only enough food for the children." So he said, "Prepare the food, light the lamp, and when the children ask for food, put them to sleep." So she cooked the food, lit the lamp, and put the children to sleep. Then she got up as if to fix the lamp, and then turned it off, and made it appear as if both of them were eating. Both of them spent the night hungry. In the morning, the Ansari went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah laughed at or was pleased with your action last night." Then Allah revealed this verse: "They give preference to others over themselves, even though they are in need themselves. And whoever is saved from the greed of his own soul, it is those who are successful." __QUR_N__ __XREF_N__ __REF_N__
The Prophet’s (SAW) saying:“Accept the good of the Ansar and overlook their faults.”
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a gathering of the Ansar, and those people were weeping. (Sayyiduna Abu Bakr or Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Why are you weeping?" They replied, "We remembered the sitting of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with us." (At that time, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was suffering from his final illness.) So they came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him about the condition of the Ansar. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then came out, and at that time he had tied the edge of a sheet on his head. Then he ascended the pulpit, and after that day he was not able to ascend (the pulpit again, meaning he passed away). Then he praised and glorified Allah, and then said: "I advise you regarding the Ansar (to treat them well), indeed they are my close ones and confidants. They have fulfilled the right that was due from them, now their right (to attain Paradise) remains. So accept their good deeds and overlook their faults."
Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out with his shoulders covered with a sheet and his head tied with a strip of smooth cloth, until he sat on the pulpit. He praised and glorified Allah, then said: "O people! Indeed, (other) people will become numerous and the Ansar will become fewer, until they remain like the amount of salt in food. So whoever among you attains such authority that he can benefit or harm, he should accept the good and virtue of the Ansar and overlook their faults."
Virtues of Sa’d ibn Mu’adh (RA)
Narrated Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "The Throne of Allah shook at the death of Sa'd bin Mu'adh."
Virtues of Ubayy ibn Ka’b (RA)
`Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him): "Allah has commanded me to recite to you Surah (Al-Bayyina): 'Those among the People of the Book who disbelieved and the polytheists were not going to desist until there came to them clear evidence....'" Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "Did Allah mention me by name?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes." So Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) began to weep.
Virtues of Zayd ibn Thabit (RA)
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that in the time of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there were four men who had memorized the Qur'an, and all of them were Ansari. Ubayy bin Ka'b, Mu'adh bin Jabal, Abu Zayd, and Zayd bin Thabit. Sayyiduna Anas was asked, "Who was Abu Zayd?" He replied, "He was one of my uncles."
