Chapter: When One Wakes Up in His Courtyard
Hadith Number: 744
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Karima Miqdam Shami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a guest arrives at night, it is obligatory upon every Muslim to host him for that night. And if the guest stays until morning, then the hospitality for that time is a debt upon the householder; if the guest wishes, he may demand it, and if he wishes, he may forgo it."

Chapter: When the Guest Is Deprived in the Morning
Hadith Number: 745
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! You send us to some people and they do not host us. What do you command regarding this matter?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you go to a people and they offer you something suitable for a guest, then accept it. And if they do not host you, then take from them the right of hospitality appropriate to them."
