It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took hold of a branch and shook it, but its leaves did not fall. Then he shook it again, but its leaves still did not fall. Then, when he shook it a third time, the leaves fell. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“ «سبحان الله، الحمد لله، لا إله إلا الله» shake off sins just as the leaves of a tree fall.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that a woman complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about her needs, or complained about some necessity. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not guide you to something better than that? When you go to bed, recite «لا إله إلا الله» thirty-three times, «سبحان الله» thirty-three times, and «الحمد لله» thirty-four times. These hundred words are better than the world and whatever is in it."

It is narrated with the previous chain that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says «لا إله إلا الله» one hundred times, says «سبحان الله» one hundred times, and says «الله أكبر» one hundred times, this is better for him than freeing ten necks. And better than sacrificing seven fat camels."

A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Which supplication is the most virtuous? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask Allah for forgiveness and well-being in this world and the Hereafter." Then he came the next day and said: O Prophet of Allah! Which supplication is best? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Seek pardon and well-being from Allah in this world and the Hereafter. If you are granted well-being in this world and the Hereafter, then surely you have succeeded."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“The most beloved words to Allah Almighty are: «سبحان الله وبحمده، لا شريك له، له الملك وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير، لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله، سبحان الله والحمد لله» Allah Almighty is pure, He has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him, all praise is for Him, and He has full power over everything. Abstaining from sin and the ability to do good is only from Allah. Allah is pure, and with His praise (we are engaged).”

Narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to me for some need while I was engaged in prayer. I was delayed in attending to him, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O Aisha! Make comprehensive supplications." When I finished the prayer, I asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is a comprehensive supplication? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Say: O Allah, I ask You for every good, whether soon or later, that which I know and that which I do not know. And I seek refuge with You from every evil in this world and the Hereafter, that which I know and that which I do not know. And I ask You for Paradise and for every word and deed that brings me closer to it. And I seek refuge with You from the Fire and from every word and deed that brings me closer to it. And I ask You for everything that Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked You for, and I seek refuge with You from everything from which Muhammad (peace be upon him) sought refuge. And make the outcome of whatever You have decreed for me good."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If a Muslim man has nothing to give in charity, then he should say in his supplication: O Allah, send mercy upon Muhammad (peace be upon him), Your servant and Messenger, and upon the believing men and believing women, and also send mercy upon the Muslim men and Muslim women. This will be his charity."

And have mercy on Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the family of Muhammad, just as You had mercy on Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and the family of Ibrahim, then I will bear witness for him and intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas and Sayyiduna Malik bin Aws bin Hadthan (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out to relieve himself and did not find anyone to accompany him. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) followed him carrying water in a jug and found the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a state of prostration on a path or platform. So he sat aside behind him until the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed his prostration. Then he said: "Umar! You did very well by moving aside when you saw me in a state of prostration. Indeed, Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: Whoever sends blessings upon you once, Allah will send ten mercies upon him and raise him by ten degrees."
