It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in one of the gardens of Madinah Tayyibah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) had a stick in his hand with which he was striking the soil and water. During this, a man came and asked for the door (of the garden's enclosure) to be opened. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Open the door and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." I went and it was Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). I opened the door and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then another person asked for the door to be opened, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Open the door for him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." I saw that it was Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I opened the door for him and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then a third man requested for the door to be opened, and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was reclining, so he sat up and said: "Open the door for him and give him the glad tidings of Paradise after a calamity that will befall him in the future." I went and it was Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). I opened the door and conveyed the statement of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He said: Allah is the Helper.

He says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair, may Allah be pleased with them, sent me to his mother, Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr, may Allah be pleased with her, so that I could inform her of what Hajjaj was doing to him. Sayyida Asma, may Allah be pleased with her, prayed for me, and passed her hand over my head, and at that time I was near the age of puberty.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I learned about a hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which was with one of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so I bought a camel. And after traveling for a month on my mount, I reached him in Syria. I found out that the companion was Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unais (may Allah be pleased with him). I sent a message that Jabir has come to your door. The messenger returned and said: Jabir bin Abdullah? I said: Yes. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unais (may Allah be pleased with him) came out and embraced me. I said: I have learned of a hadith which I have not heard, and I feared that either you or I might die and I would not be able to hear it directly. He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Allah will gather the people in such a way that they will be naked, uncircumcised, and 'buhm'." I asked: What is the meaning of 'buhm'? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "They will have nothing with them. Then Allah will call them with a voice which will be heard equally by those who are far and those who are near: I am the King. No person of Paradise will enter Paradise until any right of a person of Hell upon him is fulfilled, and no person of Hell will enter Hell until any right of a person of Paradise upon him is fulfilled." I asked: How will the rights be fulfilled when we will be naked before Allah and will have nothing else with us? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It will be settled by good deeds and bad deeds."

It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: I have not seen anyone more resembling the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in speech and conversation than Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). When she would come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would stand up to welcome her, kiss her, and seat her in his place. And when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would go to her, she would also stand up to welcome him, take his hand, greet him warmly, kiss him, and seat him in her place. Thus, when she came to him during the illness in which he passed away, he also welcomed her and kissed her.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we were in a battle (Mu'tah) when the people suddenly fled. We said, "How will we face the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when we have fled from the battlefield?" Then this verse was revealed: «إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ لِلْقِتَالِ» [الأنفال: 16] "Except for one who turns aside to fight." We said, "We will not go to Madinah so that no one sees us." Then we said, "If we go (it would be better)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the Fajr prayer, so we said, "We are fugitives." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You are those who will return to attack, not those who flee." Then we kissed the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said, "I am your central figure; you should come to me."

It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Razeen (may Allah have mercy on him) that we passed by the place of Rabdhah, and we were informed that Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) was residing there. We went to him and greeted him with salam. Then he extended both his hands and said: I pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with these two hands. He extended his large, heavy palm, and it was as big as a camel’s palm. We got up towards it and kissed it.
