Hadith Number: 6942
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have some relatives; I maintain ties with them but they sever them. I forgive them but they wrong me. I treat them well but they treat me badly. Can I also repay them in kind?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, otherwise you will all be left alone. You should choose the side of virtue and maintain the ties of kinship with them, and as long as you continue to do so, a constant helper from Allah will remain with you."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting in the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came, pulling his hair and wailing. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "What has happened to you?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife during the day in the month of Ramadan." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Free a slave." He said, "I do not have a slave." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then fast for two consecutive months." He said, "I do not have the strength for that." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then feed sixty needy people." He said, "I do not have that much." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sit down." Meanwhile, a large basket was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from somewhere, in which there were fifteen saa’ of dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take this and feed sixty needy people on your behalf." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! From this corner of Madinah to that corner, there is no household more in need than ours." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said, "Go, you and your family eat it."

Once, Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Nauf gathered at a certain place. Nauf said... then the narrator mentioned the hadith and said that Sayyiduna Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, we performed the Maghrib prayer with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); those who came early left early, and those who came later left later. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in such a state that he was out of breath. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his finger and made the number twenty-nine, and pointing towards the sky, said: "O group of Muslims, rejoice! Your Lord has opened a door of the sky and is boasting about you in front of the angels, saying: 'My servants have fulfilled one obligation and are waiting for another.'"
