حَدِيثُ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 15722
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا سفيان ، حدثنا يزيد بن خصيفة عن السائب بن يزيد , إن شاء الله، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ظاهر بين درعين يوم احد , وحدثنا به مرة اخرى فلم يستثن فيه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid that the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) was wearing two coats of armor on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud.

Hadith Number: 15723
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يحيى بن آدم ، قال: حدثنا ابن إدريس , وابو شهاب , عن محمد بن إسحاق ، عن الزهري ، عن السائب بن يزيد ابن اخت نمر، قال:" ما كان لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا مؤذن واحد , يؤذن إذا قعد على المنبر، ويقيم إذا نزل، وابو بكر كذلك وعمر كذلك رضي الله تعالى عنهما".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid that during the blessed era of the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), there was only one muezzin appointed, who would give the adhan after the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) sat on the pulpit, and after descending from the pulpit, he would also say the iqamah. This continued during the time of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Sayyiduna Umar as well.

Hadith Number: 15724
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يحيى بن آدم ، قال: حدثنا ابن مبارك ، عن يونس ، عن الزهري ، عن السائب بن يزيد , ان شريحا الحضرمي , قال: ذكر عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال:" ذاك رجل لا يتوسد القرآن".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'ib bin Yazid that once Shuraih Hadhrami was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), so the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: He is a man who does not use the Qur'an as a pillow.

Hadith Number: 15725
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يحيى بن آدم ، حدثنا ابن مبارك ، عن يونس ، عن الزهري , عن السائب بن يزيد , ان شريحا الحضرمي , ذكر عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال:" ذاك رجل لا يتوسد القرآن".
In our copy, only the word "haddathana" is written here. The preceding connected hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

حدثنا علي بن إسحاق , قال: اخبرنا عبد الله ، قال: اخبرنا يونس بن يزيد ، عن الزهري , قال: اخبرني السائب بن يزيد , فذكر مثله.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.

Hadith Number: 15727
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا ابو اليمان ، حدثنا شعيب ، عن الزهري ، قال: حدثني السائب بن يزيد ابن اخت نمر، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" لا عدوى , ولا صفر , ولا هامة".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No disease is contagious, the month of Safar is not unlucky, and there is no reality to a worm coming out of a dead person’s skull.

Hadith Number: 15728
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا ابن ابي ذئب ، عن الزهري , عن السائب بن يزيد ، قال:" كان الاذان على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وابي بكر وعمر رضي الله تعالى عنهما اذانان، حتى كان زمن عثمان، فكثر الناس، فامر بالاذان الاول بالزوراء".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid that during the blessed times of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the two Shaykhs, there was only one adhan, until the era of Sayyiduna Uthman came and the people increased, so he ordered the first adhan to be given at the place of Zawra.

Hadith Number: 15729
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يونس ، حدثنا ليث ، عن يزيد يعني ابن الهاد , عن إسماعيل بن عبد الله بن جعفر ، قال: بلغني ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:" ما من إنسان يكون في مجلس، فيقول حين يريد ان يقوم: سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك، لا إله إلا انت، استغفرك واتوب إليك، إلا غفر له ما كان في ذلك المجلس" , فحدثت هذا الحديث يزيد بن خصيفة ، قال: هكذا حدثني السائب بن يزيد عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Ismail bin Abdullah says that this hadith has reached me that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever participates in a gathering, and when he intends to stand up, he recites these words: Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdika la ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk, then all the sins he committed in that gathering will be forgiven. The narrator says: I related this hadith to Yazid bin Khusaifah, and he said that this hadith was narrated to me in the same way by Sayyiduna Sa'ib bin Yazid from the Prophet (peace be upon him).

حَدِيثُ أَبِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Abu Sa'id ibn al-Mu'alla from the Prophet (peace be upon him)

(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن خبيب بن عبد الرحمن ، عن حفص بن عاصم , عن ابي سعيد بن المعلى ، قال: كنت اصلي، فمر بي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فدعاني، فلم آته حتى صليت، ثم اتيته , فقال:" ما منعك ان تاتيني؟" فقال: إني كنت اصلي , قال:" الم يقل الله تبارك وتعالى يايها الذين آمنوا استجيبوا لله وللرسول إذا دعاكم لما يحييكم سورة الانفال آية 24 ثم قال:" الا اعلمكم اعظم سورة في القرآن قبل ان اخرج من المسجد؟" قال: فذهب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ليخرج فذكرته، فقال: الحمد لله رب العالمين هي السبع المثاني والقرآن العظيم الذي اوتيته".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Mu'alla that once I was praying, and by chance, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by. He called out to me, but I did not come to him until I had completed my prayer. After that, I went to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "What prevented you from coming to me?" I replied: "I was praying." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Did Allah not say: 'O you who believe! Respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life'?" Then he said: "Shall I not teach you the greatest Surah of the Noble Qur'an before you leave the mosque?" Then, when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was about to leave the mosque, I reminded him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It is Surah Al-Fatihah. It is the seven oft-repeated verses, and it is the Great Qur'an which has been given to me."

حَدِيثُ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ
Hadith of al-Hajjaj ibn Amr al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him)

(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، حدثنا حجاج يعني الصواف ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، عن عكرمة ، عن الحجاج بن عمرو الانصاري ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول. ح وإسماعيل , قال: اخبرني الحجاج بن ابي عثمان ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن ابي كثير ، ان عكرمة مولى ابن عباس حدثه , قال: حدثني الحجاج بن عمرو الانصاري ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول:" من كسر او عرج فقد حل، وعليه حجة اخرى" , قال: فذكرت ذلك لابن عباس وابي هريرة، فقالا: صدق , قال إسماعيل: فحدثت بذاك ابن عباس وابا هريرة ، فقالا صدق.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Hajjaj bin Amr through two different chains that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If a person's leg breaks and he becomes lame, then he is permitted (to leave the pilgrimage), and another Hajj will be obligatory upon him the following year. The narrator says: I mentioned this hadith to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them), and they confirmed it.
