Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was informed that Sayyiduna Samrah (may Allah be pleased with him) had sold wine, so he said: May Allah destroy Samrah, does he not know this? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“May Allah curse the Jews; when fat was made unlawful for them, they melted it and sold it.”That is, they melted it.
