Hadith Number: 17201
حدثنا ابو اليمان ، قال: حدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي مريم ، قال: كانت لمقدام بن معدي كرب جارية تبيع اللبن، ويقبض المقدام الثمن، فقيل له: سبحان الله اتبيع اللبن وتقبض الثمن! فقال: نعم، وما باس بذلك، سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " لياتين على الناس زمان لا ينفع فيه إلا الدينار والدرهم" .
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) had a slave girl who used to sell milk, and the money that was obtained, Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) would take. Someone said to him: Subhan Allah! She sells the milk and you take the money? He replied: Yes! So what is wrong in that? I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that a time will come upon the people in which nothing will benefit except dinar and dirham.

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لضعف أبى بكر ولانقطاعه ، أبوبكر لم يدرك المقدام بن معدي كرب
Hadith Number: 17202
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن منصور ، عن الشعبي ، عن المقدام ابي كريمة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لليلة الضيف واجبة، فإن اصبح بفنائه، فهو دين له، فإن شاء اقتضى، وإن شاء ترك" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: He heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "It is obligatory upon every Muslim to take care of the guest for one night; if the guest remains deprived in the courtyard of his host until morning, then the host has become indebted to him—he may repay it if he wishes, or he may forgo it."

حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح
Hadith Number: 17203
حدثنا ابو كامل ، حدثنا حماد يعني ابن زيد ، قال: حدثنا بديل بن ميسرة ، عن علي بن ابي طلحة ، عن راشد بن سعد ، عن ابي عامر الهوزني ، عن المقدام ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من ترك دينا او ضيعة فإلي، ومن ترك مالا فلوارثه، وانا مولى من لا مولى له، ارث ماله، وافك عانه، والخال مولى من لا مولى له، يرث ماله ويفك عانه" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies leaving a debt behind, he is under the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger, and whoever dies leaving wealth, it will belong to his heirs. And the maternal uncle is the heir of the one who has no heir, and I am the heir of the one who has no heir; I am his heir and I will pay his blood money on his behalf."

Hadith Number: 17204
حدثنا عفان ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، قال: بديل العقيلي اخبرني، قال: سمعت علي بن ابي طلحة يحدث، عن راشد بن سعد ، عن ابي عامر الهوزني ، عن المقدام من اصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من ترك كلا فإلي"، قال: وربما قال:" إلى الله وإلى رسوله، ومن ترك مالا فلورثته، وانا وارث من لا وارث له، اعقل عنه وارثه، والخال وارث من لا وارث له، يعقل عنه، ويرثه" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies leaving a debt behind, he is under the responsibility of Allah and His Messenger. Whoever dies leaving wealth, it will belong to his heirs. And the maternal uncle is the heir of the one who has no heir, and I am the heir of the one who has no heir; I am his heir and I will pay his blood money on his behalf."

Hadith Number: 17205
حدثنا احمد بن عبد الملك الحراني ، حدثنا محمد بن حرب الابرش ، حدثنا سليمان بن سليم ، عن صالح بن يحيى بن المقدام ، عن جده المقدام بن معدي كرب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " افلحت يا قديم إن لم تكن اميرا ولا جابيا ولا عريفا" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Qadeem! You have succeeded if you die in such a state that you are neither a ruler, nor a tax collector, nor a chieftain."
