Hadith of Asma' bint Abi Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 26962
It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that we set out with the Prophet (peace be upon him) after donning the Ihram for Hajj. Later, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to us: Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should keep his Ihram, and whoever does not have a sacrificial animal should end his Ihram. Hazrat Asma says that I and Aisha, Miqdad, and Zubair were among those who had donned the Ihram for Umrah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that on the occasion of the solar eclipse, the Prophet (peace be upon him) led a prayer in which he stood for a long time, then bowed (ruku) and that too was prolonged, then he raised his head and stood for a long time, then again performed a long ruku, then raised his head and went into prostration (sajda) and performed a long sajda. Then he stood up and again stood for a long time, then performed two long rukus, then raised his head and went into sajda and performed a long sajda, then raised his head and performed another long sajda. After completing the prayer, he said that during the prayer, Paradise was brought so close to me that if I had stretched out my hand, I could have plucked a bunch from it. Then Hell was brought so close that I began to say, "O Lord! Am I also among them?" I saw a woman in it whom a cat was scratching. I asked, "What is her story?" I was told that this woman had tied up the cat and it died in that state. She neither fed it herself nor let it go so it could eat the insects of the earth.

Later, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to us: Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should keep his Ihram, and whoever does not have a sacrificial animal should come out of Ihram. Since I did not have a sacrificial animal with me, I became halal (came out of Ihram), and my husband, Hazrat Zubair, had a sacrificial animal with him, so he did not become halal. I put on my clothes and came to Hazrat Zubair after coming out of Ihram, and he said, "Get away from me." I said, "Are you afraid that I will jump on you?"

Abdullah, who narrates from Hazrat Asma’s freed slave, reports that once Hazrat Asma camped near Muzdalifah and asked,“Son, has the moon set?”It was the night of Muzdalifah and she was praying. I said,“Not yet.”She continued to pray for a while longer, then asked,“Son, has the moon disappeared?”By that time, the moon had set, so I said,“Yes!”She said,“Then depart.”So we left from there, and upon reaching Mina, performed the stoning at Jamrah Aqabah, and after reaching our tent, offered the Fajr prayer. I said to her,“We left Muzdalifah while it was still dark.”She replied,“Not at all, son. The Prophet (peace be upon him) has given women permission to leave early.”

Abu Sadiq Naji says that when Hajjaj bin Yusuf had martyred Abdullah bin Zubair, he came to Asma and said, "Your son had chosen a crooked path in the Sacred Sanctuary, so Allah made him taste a painful punishment, and whatever needed to be done with him has been done." She replied, "You are lying. He was one who treated his parents well, fasted during the day, and stood in prayer at night. By Allah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) had already informed us that from among the Banu Thaqif, two great liars would soon emerge, and the second of them would be a greater source of evil and tribulation than the first, and he would be the destroyer."

It is narrated from Hazrat Asma that on the day when there was a solar eclipse, the Prophet (peace be upon him) became anxious and took his shirt and wrapped a sheet over it, and with the people performed a long standing (in prayer). The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept standing and bowing during this time. I saw a woman who was older than me but she was standing, then I saw a woman who was more ill than me but still she was standing. Seeing this, I thought that I am more deserving to stand with steadfastness than you.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "O Asma, do not keep by counting, otherwise Allah will also give to you by counting."
