حَدِیث عقبَةَ بنِ عَامِر الجهَنِیِّ عَنِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَیهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir Al-Juhani from the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 17356
حدثنا موسى بن داود ، قال: حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، عن يزيد بن ابي حبيب ، عن ابي الخير ، عن عقبة بن عامر ، قال: جاء رجل إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إن امي ماتت، وإني اريد ان اتصدق عنها، قال: " امرتك؟" قال: لا، قال:" فلا تفعل" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My mother has passed away and I want to give some charity on her behalf." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Did she command you to do so?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then do not do it."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، ابن لهيعة سيئ الحفظ
Hadith Number: 17357
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا هشام ، عن قتادة ، عن قيس الجذامي ، عن عقبة بن عامر الجهني ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من اعتق رقبة مسلمة، فهي فداؤه من النار" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will become a means of his freedom from Hell.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لانقطاعه، قتادة لم يلق قيساً الجذامي
Hadith Number: 17358
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا هشام ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن عقبة بن عامر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " عهدة الرقيق اربع ليال" ، قال قتادة: واهل المدينة يقولون: ثلاث ليال.
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The responsibility for a slave remains for four days.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لانقطاعه، الحسن البصري لم يسمع عقبة بن عامر، ثم هو مضطرب
Hadith Number: 17359
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، حدثنا مشرح ، قال: سمعت عقبة بن عامر ، يقول: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " كل ميت يختم على عمله، إلا المرابط في سبيل الله، فإنه يجرى له اجر عمله حتى يبعث" ، حدثنا قتيبة ، قال فيه:" ويؤمن من فتان القبر".
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The record of deeds of every deceased person is sealed, except for the person who guards the Islamic borders in the way of Allah; for him, reward will continue to be written in his record of deeds until he is resurrected. The previous hadith is also narrated from Qutaibah, and in it there is this addition: he will also be protected from the trial of the grave.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد حسن
Hadith Number: 17360
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، قال ابو عبد الرحمن: قال عبد الله بن يزيد اظنه عن مشرح ، عن عقبة بن عامر ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " نعم اهل البيت ابو عبد الله، وام عبد الله، وعبد الله" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best household is Abu Abdullah, Umm Abdullah, and Abdullah (Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him).
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، ابن لهيعة سيئ الحفظ، وقد روي عنه أيضاً مرسلاً
Hadith Number: 17361
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ، حدثنا قباث بن رزين اللخمي ، قال: سمعت علي بن رباح اللخمي ، يقول: سمعت عقبة بن عامر الجهني، يقول: كنا جلوسا في المسجد نقرا القرآن، فدخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فسلم علينا، فرددنا عليه السلام، ثم قال: " تعلموا كتاب الله واقتنوه"، قال قباث: وحسبته قال:" وتغنوا به، فوالذي نفس محمد بيده، لهو اشد تفلتا من المخاض من العقل" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting in the mosque reciting the Holy Qur'an when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and greeted us with salam. We replied to him, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Acquire the knowledge of the Book of Allah, hold firmly to it, and recite it with melody. By the One in whose hand is the life of Muhammad, this Qur'an slips away even faster than camels that are untied from their enclosures.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد جيد
Hadith Number: 17362
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة . ح وهاشم ، حدثنا ليث ، عن يزيد بن ابي حبيب ، عن ابي الخير مرثد بن عبد الله اليزني، عن عقبة بن عامر الجهني ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " إن احق الشروط ان توفوا به، ما استحللتم به الفروج" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Of all the conditions that deserve to be fulfilled most, the condition by which you make the private parts of women lawful for yourselves is the most deserving.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح ، خ: 2721، م: 1418، فالحديث بإسناده الثاني صحيح، وأما بالإسناد الأول فهو حسن
Hadith Number: 17363
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد ، عن سعيد بن ابي ايوب ، حدثني زهرة بن معبد ، عن ابن عم له اخي ابيه ، انه سمع عقبة بن عامر ، يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من توضا فاحسن الوضوء، ثم رفع نظره إلى السماء، فقال: اشهد ان لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وان محمدا عبده ورسوله، فتحت له ثمانية ابواب من الجنة، يدخل من ايها شاء" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution and does it well, then looks towards the sky and says: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger," then all eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he may enter through whichever gate he wishes.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح دون قوله: «ثم رفع نظره إلى السماء» ، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لجهالة ابن عم زهرة بن معبد، وهذا الحديث لم يسمعه عقبة من النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم ، إنما سمعه من عمر عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith Number: 17364
حدثنا ابو سعيد مولى بني هاشم، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، حدثنا مشرح بن هاعان ابو مصعب المعافري ، قال: سمعت عقبة بن عامر، يقول: قلت: يا رسول الله، افضلت سورة الحج على سائر القرآن بسجدتين؟ قال: " نعم، فمن لم يسجدهما، فلا يقراهما" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah! (peace and blessings be upon him) Is this virtue unique to Surah Al-Hajj in the entire Qur'an that it contains two prostrations?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Yes! And whoever does not perform both prostrations, it is as if he has not recited this Surah at all."
حكم دارالسلام: حسن بطرقه وشواهده دون قوله: «فمن لم يسجدهما فلا يقرأهما» ، وهذا الإسناد ضعيف، حديث مشرح بن هاعان عن عقبة خاصة مقال
Hadith Number: 17365
حدثنا ابو سعيد ، حدثنا ابن لهيعة ، حدثنا مشرح ، قال: سمعت عقبة بن عامر يقول: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لو ان القرآن جعل في إهاب ثم القي في النار ما احترق" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the Noble Qur'an is wrapped in any leather and thrown into the fire, the fire will not burn it.
