It is narrated from Hazrat Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a marriage proposal to the daughter of Abu Jahl (in the presence of Hazrat Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her) and made a promise of marriage. Upon this, Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "The people of your tribe are saying among themselves that you do not even get angry in matters concerning your daughters, because Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) has sent a marriage proposal to the daughter of Abu Jahl." Hearing this, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), praised and glorified Allah, and said, "Fatimah is a part of me. I do not like that she should be put to trial." Then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned his elder son-in-law Hazrat Abul Aas bin Rabi' (may Allah be pleased with him) and praised him greatly. Then he said, "The daughter of the Prophet of Allah and the daughter of the enemy of Allah cannot be united in the marriage of one man." Thus, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) abandoned this idea.

Imam Zain al-Abidin, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that after the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain, may Allah be pleased with him, when those people reached Madinah Munawwarah from Yazid, Hazrat Muswar bin Makhramah, may Allah be pleased with him, met them and said, "If you need anything from me, let me know?" I said, "No." He said, "Can you give me the sword of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, because I fear that people may overpower you. By Allah, if you give it to me, then only someone who passes through my life will be able to reach it."

Once, Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, (in the presence of Hazrat Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her) sent a marriage proposal to the daughter of Abu Jahl and made a promise of marriage. Upon this, Hazrat Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, came to the service of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "The people of your tribe are saying among themselves that you do not even get angry in matters concerning your daughters, because Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, has sent a marriage proposal to the daughter of Abu Jahl." Hearing this, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood among the noble companions, may Allah be pleased with them, praised and glorified Allah, and said, "Fatimah is a part of me. I do not like that she should be put to trial." Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned his elder son-in-law, Hazrat Abu al-As bin al-Rabi', may Allah be pleased with him, and praised him greatly. Then he said, "I do not make any lawful thing unlawful, nor any unlawful thing lawful, but the daughter of the Prophet of Allah and the daughter of the enemy of Allah cannot be united in the marriage of one man." Thus, Hazrat Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, abandoned this idea.

It is narrated from Hazrat Marwan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the delegation of the Muslims of Banu Hawazin came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they requested that their captives and wealth be returned to them (because now they had become Muslims). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You see all the people who are with me. Truth is most beloved to me, so choose one of the two options: either the captives or the wealth? I give you time to think." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them a little more than ten nights to think after returning from Ta’if. When they were convinced that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would return only one thing to them, they said, "We prefer the option of freeing the captives." So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among the Muslims and praised Allah as is His due, then said, "Your brothers have come in repentance. My opinion is to return their captives to them, so whoever among you can do so with the happiness of his heart, let him do so." The people said, "We happily give permission for this." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "How do we know who among you has given permission happily and who has not? Therefore, now you all go back until your elders present your permission before us." So the people went back, then their elders spoke to them and came back and informed the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that all had given permission happily. This is what I have come to know regarding the captives of Banu Hawazin.

Hazrat Amr bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the participants of the Battle of Badr, narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once sent Hazrat Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) to Bahrain so that he could collect the jizya from there. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had made a peace agreement with the people of Bahrain and had appointed Hazrat Alaa bin Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) as their leader. Thus, Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) brought wealth from Bahrain... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith. It is narrated from Hazrat Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) brought wealth from Bahrain. When the Ansar learned of his arrival, they presented themselves before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of the Fajr prayer. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the Fajr prayer, they came before him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled upon seeing them and said, "Perhaps you have heard of Abu Ubaidah's return and that he has brought something?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Rejoice and hope for that which will make you happy. By Allah, I do not fear poverty for you, but I fear that the world will be opened up for you as it was opened up for those before you, and you will compete in it as they competed."

‘Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma‘mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from ‘Urwah ibn al-Zubayr, from al-Miswar ibn Makhramah, who said: The Ansar heard that Abu ‘Ubaydah had arrived with wealth from al-Bahrayn, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had sent him to al-Bahrayn. He arrived with the Messenger of Allah at the time of the morning prayer. When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, finished, they approached him. When he saw them, he smiled and said:“Perhaps you have heard that Abu ‘Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah has arrived and brought wealth?”They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said:“Rejoice and hope for good. By Allah, it is not poverty that I fear for you, but rather, if the world is poured upon you, and you compete for it as those before you competed for it.”

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when she made a sale or gave something as a gift to someone, Hazrat Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), who was her nephew, said, "By Allah! Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) will have to stop, otherwise I will not give her anything anymore." When Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) found out, she said, "Did he say this?" People informed her, "Yes!" She said, "I swear by Allah that from today onwards I will never speak to Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him)." Then Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) requested Hazrat Muswar bin Makhrama (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him), who belonged to Banu Zuhra, to intercede for him... Both of them kept swearing to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to speak to Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) and to accept his apology, and they said, "You also know that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breaking off relations and said that it is not permissible for a Muslim to cut off relations with his brother for more than three days." Tufail bin Harith, who was an individual from Azd Shanwah and was Hazrat Aisha's (may Allah be pleased with her) maternal brother, narrated...
