Musnad Ahmad
وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 20153
حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا همام ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة : ان يوم حنين كان يوما مطيرا، فامر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مناديه فنادى: " ان الصلاة في الرحال" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of rain during the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed the people to pray in their tents.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، الحسن مدلس، وقد عنعن
Hadith Number: 20154
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن سفيان ، حدثني حبيب بن ابي ثابت ، عن ميمون بن ابي شبيب ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " البسوا الثياب البيض، فإنها اطهر واطيب، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make white clothes obligatory upon yourselves; wear white clothes yourselves and shroud your dead in them, for they are the best of your clothes.

Hadith Number: 20155
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، عن سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " الصلاة الوسطى صلاة العصر" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Salat al-Wusta, the Asr prayer is meant.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، الحسن البصري لم يذكر سماعه من سمرة
Hadith Number: 20156
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد ، حدثنا ابن ابي عروبة ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " على اليد ما اخذت حتى تؤديه" , ثم نسي الحسن قال: لا يضمن.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever one hand takes from another remains a responsibility upon it until it is returned (to the giver).
حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، الحسن مدلس، وقد عنعن
Hadith Number: 20157
حدثنا يحيى ، عن إسماعيل يعني ابن ابي خالد ، عن عامر ، عن سمرة بن جندب , ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الفجر ذات يوم فقال:" هاهنا من بني فلان احد؟" مرتين، فقال رجل: هو ذا , فكاني اسمع صوت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إن صاحبكم قد حبس على باب الجنة بدين كان عليه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Fajr prayer, and after the prayer he said, "Is there anyone here from such-and-such tribe?" A man said, "Yes! (We are present)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Your companion (who has passed away) has been held back at the gate of Paradise because of a debt he owed, so you should pay off his debt."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح
Hadith Number: 20158
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا ابو هلال ، عن سوادة بن حنظلة ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لا يمنعنكم من سحوركم اذان بلال، ولا الفجر المستطيل، ولكن الفجر المستطير في الافق" .
Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) once said during a sermon that the Messenger said: Do not be deceived by Bilal’s call to prayer or this whiteness, until the true dawn appears. The true dawn is the light that spreads horizontally across the horizon.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، م: 1094، وهذا إسناد حسن
Hadith Number: 20159
حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا همام ، عن قتادة ، عن قدامة بن وبرة ، عن سمرة بن جندب , قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من فاتته الجمعة، فليتصدق بدينار، او بنصف دينار" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever misses a Friday (prayer) without excuse should give one dinar in charity; if he cannot find one dinar, then he should give half a dinar in charity.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف الجهالة قدامة بن وبرة
Hadith Number: 20160
حدثنا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن الاسود بن قيس العبدي ، عن ثعلبة بن عباد ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال: " صلى بنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في كسوف فلم نسمع له صوتا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in the eclipse prayer, so (he recited quietly and) we did not hear the voice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
حكم دارالسلام: حسن لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لجهالة ثعلبة بن عباد
Hadith Number: 20161
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون ، اخبرنا المسعودي ، وابو نعيم , حدثنا المسعودي ، عن معبد بن خالد ، عن زيد بن عقبة ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقرا في العيدين: ب سبح اسم ربك الاعلى و هل اتاك حديث الغاشية" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite "Sabbi hisma Rabbikal A'la" and "Hal ataka hadithul ghashiyah" in the Eid prayers.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح
Hadith Number: 20162
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون ، اخبرنا حسين يعني المعلم ، عن عبد الله بن بريدة ، عن سمرة بن جندب :" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى على ام فلان ماتت في نفاسها، فقام وسطها" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the funeral prayer of Umm Fulan, who had died in the state of nifas (postnatal bleeding), and he stood in the middle (of her body).
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، خ: 332، م: 964
