Musnad Ahmad
وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
And from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith Number: 20133
قال: قال: وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إنه مع الغلام عقيقته، تذبح عنه يوم سابعه، ويسمى ويحلق راسه" .
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every boy is held in pledge for his 'aqiqah, so sacrifice should be offered on his behalf on the seventh day, his name should be given on that day, and his head should be shaved.

Hadith Number: 20134
حدثنا عبد الصمد ، حدثنا ثابت يعني ابا زيد , حدثنا عاصم ذكر: ان الذي يحدث:" ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اذن في النبيذ بعد ما نهى عنه ، منذر ابو حسان، ذكره عن سمرة بن جندب , وكان يقول: من خالف الحجاج، فقد خالف.
Asim says that this hadith, after the prohibition, the Prophet (peace be upon him) himself permitted nabidh. Munzir Abu Hassan used to narrate this from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) and used to say that whoever opposes Hajjaj, he is opposing.

Hadith Number: 20135
حدثنا علي بن عاصم ، حدثنا سليمان التيمي ، عن ابي العلاء بن الشخير ، عن سمرة بن جندب , قال: بينا نحن عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذ اتي بقصعة فيها ثريد , قال: فاكل واكل القوم، فلم يزل القوم يتداولونها إلى قريب من الظهر، ياكل كل قوم ثم يقومون، ويجيء قوم فيتعاقبونه , قال: فقال له رجل: هل كانت تمد بطعام؟ قال: اما من الارض فلا، إلا ان تكون كانت تمد من السماء .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a bowl of tharid was brought. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate from it and the people also ate from it. People kept eating from it until near the time of Zuhr. A group would come and eat, then stand up, and after them another group would come, and this continued. Someone asked, "Is food being continuously added to this bowl?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No one is adding anything to it on the earth, but if blessing has been placed in it from the sky, then that is another matter."
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف على بن عاصم، لكنه متابع
Hadith Number: 20136
حدثنا هشيم ، حدثنا حميد ، عن الحسن ، قال: جاءه رجل فقال: إن عبدا له ابق، وإنه نذر إن قدر عليه ان يقطع يده، فقال الحسن , حدثنا سمرة , قال:" قلما خطب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خطبة إلا امر فيها بالصدقة، ونهى فيها عن المثلة" .
Hasan says that a man came to him and said that his slave had run away and he had vowed that if he gained power over him, he would cut off his hand. Hasan replied that Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us this hadith: There were very few sermons in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not command charity and did not prohibit mutilation.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح إن كان حميد حفظ فيه تصريح الحسن البصري بسماعه من سمرة، فقد خالفه يزيد التستري فقال: عن الحسن، عن سمرة ولم يذكر سماعا
Hadith Number: 20137
حدثنا هشيم ، انبانا شعبة وغيره , عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من قتل عبده قتلناه ومن جدعه جدعناه" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever kills his slave, we will kill him, and whoever cuts off his slave’s nose, we will cut off his nose.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، الحسن لم يصرح بسماعه
Hadith Number: 20138
حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان ، قال: سمعت الركين يحدث، عن ابيه ، عن سمرة ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان تسمي رقيقك , اربعة اسماء: افلح , ويسارا , ونافعا , ورباحا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not name your children Aflah (successful), Najeeh (prosperous), Yasar (ease), and Rabah (profit).
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 2136
Hadith Number: 20139
حدثنا إسحاق بن يوسف ، حدثنا سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " كل غلام رهين بعقيقته، تذبح عنه يوم السابع، ويحلق راسه، ويسمى" .

Hadith Number: 20140
حدثنا إسماعيل ، حدثنا ايوب ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " عليكم بهذه البياض، فليلبسها احياؤكم، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم، فإنها من خير ثيابكم" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make white clothes obligatory upon yourselves, wear white clothes yourselves, and shroud your dead in them, for they are the best of your clothes.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف، أبو قلابة لم يسمع من سمرة ، والواسطة بينهما ثقة
Hadith Number: 20141
حدثنا عمرو بن الهيثم ابو قطن ، حدثنا هشام ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " إذا انكح الوليان فهي للاول منهما" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If a woman’s marriage is contracted by two guardians at different places, then she will belong to the one who did it first. And whoever buys the same thing from two different men, then it will belong to the one who bought it first.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف، الحسن مدلس ولم يصرح بسماعه
Hadith Number: 20142
حدثنا إسماعيل ، حدثنا سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " البيعان بالخيار ما لم يتفرقا" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The seller and the buyer have the option to cancel the sale as long as they have not separated from each other.
