It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered for a ram with horns to be brought, one that walked in blackness, looked in blackness, and sat in blackness (completely black). Accordingly, such an animal was presented for sacrifice. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Aisha! Bring the knife." Then he said, "Sharpen it on a stone." I did so. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the knife, caught the ram, laid it down, and slaughtered it saying: "In the name of Allah. O Allah! Accept this from Muhammad, the family of Muhammad, and the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)."

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to marry off any of his daughters, he would go and sit behind her curtain and say, "Such and such man has mentioned such and such woman," and he would mention the name of that daughter and the man who wished to marry her. If she remained silent, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would arrange her marriage. But if she disliked the proposal, she would start adjusting her curtain, and then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not arrange her marriage.
