Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, he should fully immerse the fly in the vessel, then take it out, because one of its wings has disease and the other has cure. And it protects itself with the wing that has the disease."

And the explanation of the evidence that when some parts of the body or the whole body are washed with water, that water does not become impure. And the water is pure; there is no impurity upon it.

Muhammad bin Munkadir says that I heard Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying that (once) I fell ill, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came on foot to visit me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) found me in a state of unconsciousness, so he performed ablution and poured (the remaining) water over me. (From that) I regained some consciousness, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, how should I dispose of my wealth, how should I distribute my wealth?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give me any answer, until the verse of inheritance was revealed «‏‏‏‏إِنِ امْرُؤٌ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُ۔۔۔» ‏‏‏‏ [ سورة النساء ] "If a person dies who has no children and has a sister, then half of what he leaves is hers." On one occasion, he said, "Until the verse of Kalalah was revealed."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: (Once) we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When the time for prayer came, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do the people have any water?" Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says that a man brought the remaining water in a vessel. He says that the man poured that water into a bowl and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed ablution. He says that then people came to take the remaining water, so the man said: Perform masah (wiping) with it. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) placed his blessed hand in the middle of the water in the bowl, then said: "Perform complete ablution." Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: By Him who took away my eyesight—the narrator says that his eyesight had gone—I saw water gushing from between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not lift his blessed hand (at that time) until all the people had performed ablution. Ubaidah says that Aswad said: I think he also said that we were two hundred or more people.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one of the noble wives of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) for janabah, and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) performed wudu or ghusl with the water left over by her.
And performing ablution and ghusl with it is permissible because it is pure, not impure, because if the leftover water of a menstruating woman was impure, then the Prophet (peace be upon him) would not have drunk the impure water, especially when he (peace be upon him) was not even compelled to drink it.

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when a (drink) vessel was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would begin drinking from it even though I was menstruating. Then he would take the vessel and place his mouth where I had placed mine (and drink from it). And when (eating food) I would take a bone and gnaw meat from it—then (the Messenger of Allah would take that bone and) place his mouth where I had placed mine (and eat from it). The Imam (author) says: Salm bin Junadah has also narrated a similar report to us with this same chain.

Contrary to the statement of the person who considers performing ablution and bathing with sea water to be disliked, his claim is that there is fire beneath the sea, and beneath the fire is the sea, in this way there are seven seas and seven fires. Due to this alleged reason, he considers performing ablution and bathing with sea water to be disliked.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah narrates that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) a question, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea and take only a little water with us. If we use it for ablution, we will remain thirsty, so can we perform ablution with sea water?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: "Its water is pure, its dead (animals) are lawful." This is the hadith of Yunus. The Imam says that Yahya bin Hakeem, in his narration, has mentioned «‏‏‏‏عن» ‏‏‏‏ Safwan bin Salim instead of «‏‏‏‏حدث» ‏‏‏‏. He did not mention «‏‏‏‏من اٰل ان الأزرق» ‏‏‏‏ with the name of Saeed bin Salamah and did not mention «‏‏‏‏من بني عبدالدار» ‏‏‏‏ with the name of Mughira (i.e., he did not mention their tribes). He also added these words: "We remain at sea for long periods."
