342 Chapter: Evidence That Inner Thoughts in Prayer without Moving the Tongue Do Not Invalidate the Prayer.
Hadith Number: Q898
Because Allah Almighty, out of His kindness and mercy, has forgiven the inner thoughts of the heart of the Ummah of Muhammad.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted has forgiven my Ummah for what occurs in their hearts (thoughts and whispers that come to the heart) as long as they do not speak of them or act upon them."

343 Chapter: Evidence That Crying in Prayer Does Not Invalidate It, and Permissibility of Crying in Prayer.
Hadith Number: 899
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of the Battle of Badr, among us only Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) was a horseman (he had a horse), and I saw my companions that all of them were asleep except the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he (peace be upon him) was praying under a tree and weeping profusely until morning came. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that (the evidence for this) is also the incident of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to lead the people in prayer, it was said to him (O Messenger of Allah), indeed he is a very soft-hearted person and weeps a lot while reciting the Qur’an (so you should order another companion to lead the prayer).

344 Chapter: Evidence That Blowing in Prayer Does Not Invalidate or Break It, and Permissibility of Blowing When Something Happens in Prayer.
Hadith Number: 901
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that during the blessed era of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), one day the sun was eclipsed, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and began to offer prayer. Then, when he went into prostration, he did not raise his head for a long time, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to blow and weep. The hadith continues. Hazrat Abdullah said that (after the prayer) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and praised and glorified Allah, and said: "The Fire was shown to me, so I began to blow (to ward it off), fearing that it might engulf you."

Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I had such a status and position with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that no one else among the people had. Indeed, I would come to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and greet him with salam, and even if he was in the state of prayer, he would respond to me by coughing, so I would return to my family. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in this hadith, the narrators have reported a difference from Abd bin Naji. Therefore, I do not remember anyone except Sharjeel bin Mudrik who has mentioned the father of Abd bin Naji as an intermediary. (That is, the rest of the narrators mention Abdullah bin Naji as a direct student of Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him.)

The Imam mentions the chain of another of his teachers in which there is no intermediary between Abdullah bin Naji and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), rather Abdullah bin Naji narrates directly from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Jarir says that Mughira and Ammara narrate from Harith the words of saying "Subhan Allah". Whereas Abu Bakr bin Ayyash narrates from Mughira the words "clearing the throat".

The Imam narrates the aforementioned words "Subhan Allah" and "clearing the throat" from his teachers, Yusuf bin Musa, Al-Durqi, and Muhammad bin Yahya, through their chains of narration.

346 Chapter: Permission to Adjust One’s Clothes in Prayer.
Hadith Number: 905
Sayyiduna Wa’il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would begin the prayer, he would raise both his hands, then say“Allahu Akbar,”and wrap his cloak, then place both his hands inside his garment, then hold his left hand with his right hand. Then the rest of the hadith is mentioned. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this is Alqamah bin Wa’il, there is no doubt about it. Perhaps Abdul Warith or a narrator below him was in doubt about his name (so he said Wa’il bin Alqamah). Whereas when Hammam bin Yahya narrated, he also mentioned in his chain of narration that the teacher of Abdul Jabbar bin Wa’il was Alqamah bin Wa’il. He also included a freed slave of his along with him. (So, in the first chain, mentioning Wa’il bin Alqamah as the teacher of Abdul Jabbar bin Wa’il is incorrect.)
