What is reported about vows
Hadith Number: 943
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا محمد بن موسى بن اعين ، قال: ثنا ابي ، عن عمرو بن الحارث ، عن عبيد الله بن ابي جعفر القرشي ، ان محمد بن جعفر ، حدثه، عن عروة ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من مات وعليه صيام صام عنه وليه" .
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever dies and has fasts due upon him, his guardian should fast on his behalf.

Hadith Number: 944
حدثنا علي بن خشرم ، قال: انا عيسى يعني ابن يونس ، عن شعبة ، عن جعفر بن إياس ، قال: سمعت سعيد بن جبير ، يحدث، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، ان رجلا اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إن اختي نذرت ان تحج وانها ماتت، فقال:" لو كان عليها دين اكنت قاضيه؟ قال: نعم، قال: " فاقضوا الله فهو احق بالوفاء" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My sister has passed away; she had made a vow to perform Hajj (what should I do?), he (the Prophet) said: If she had a debt, would you pay it off? He said: Yes! The Prophet said: Then fulfill Allah’s right as well, for He is more deserving that His right be fulfilled.

Hadith Number: 945
حدثنا الزعفراني ، قال: ثنا يزيد بن هارون ، قال: انا حماد بن سلمة ، عن حبيب المعلم ، عن عطاء ، عن جابر رضي الله عنه، ان رجلا نذر ان يصلي في بيت المقدس، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " صل هاهنا، يعني في المسجد الحرام، فقال: يا رسول الله، إني نذرت ان اصلي في بيت المقدس، فقال: صل هاهنا" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a man made a vow to pray in Bayt al-Maqdis, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Pray here in Masjid al-Haram." He said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have vowed to pray in Bayt al-Maqdis." He (the Prophet) said: "Pray here."
تخریج الحدیث: از غلام مصطفےٰ ظهير امن پوري: «إسناده صحيح: مسند الإمام أحمد: 3/363، سنن أبي داؤد: 3305، اس حدیث کو امام ابو عوانہ رحمہ اللہ (5883) نے صحیح اور امام حاکم رحمہ اللہ (4/304) نے امام مسلم رحمہ اللہ کی شرط پر صحیح کہا ہے۔»

What is reported about wills
Hadith Number: 946
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا محمد بن عبيد ، قال: ثنا عبيد الله ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " ما حق امرئ مسلم يبيت ليلتين وله شيء يوصي فيه إلا ووصيته مكتوبة عنده" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not appropriate for a Muslim who has something to bequeath, that he should spend two nights without having his will written down.

Hadith Number: 947
حدثنا ابن المقرئ ، قال: ثنا سفيان ، عن الزهري ، قال: ثنا عامر بن سعد ، عن ابيه رضي الله عنه، قال: مرضت بمكة مرضا اشفيت منه على الموت، فجاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يعودني، فقلت: يا رسول الله، إن لي مالا كثيرا وليس يرثني إلا ابنتي، افاوصي بثلثي مالي؟ قال: لا، قلت: فالشطر؟ قال: لا، قلت: فالثلث؟ قال: " الثلث، والثلث كثير، او كبير إنك إن تترك ورثتك اغنياء خير من ان تتركهم عالة" .
Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once I became so ill in Makkah that I was close to death. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit me, so I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have a lot of wealth and only one daughter as my heir. Should I bequeath two-thirds of my wealth in charity? He said: No! I asked: Half of my wealth in charity? He said: No! I asked: One-third in charity? He said: One-third (can be given), but even that is a lot. If you leave your heirs wealthy, that is better than leaving them poor.

Hadith Number: 948
حدثنا علي بن خشرم ، قال: انا إسماعيل يعني ابن علية ، عن ايوب ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن ابي المهلب ، عن عمران بن حصين رضي الله عنه، ان رجلا اعتق ستة مملوكين له عند موته لم يكن له مال غيرهم، فدعاهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فجزاهم اثلاثا، ثم اقرع بينهم، فاعتق اثنين، وارق اربعة، قال: وقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قولا شديدا" .
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man, at the time of his death, freed his six slaves, while he had no wealth other than them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for them, divided them into three parts, then drew lots among them and freed two, and made four remain as slaves. And regarding that man, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used harsh words.

Hadith Number: 949
حدثنا ابو ايوب سليمان بن عبد الحميد البهراني ، قال: ثنا يزيد بن عبد ربه ، قال: ثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، قال: ثنا ابن جابر ، وحدثني سليم بن عامر ، وغيره، عن ابي امامة ، وغيره رضي الله عنهم، رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يومئذ، فكان فيما تكلم به: " الا إن الله قد اعطى كل ذي حق حقه الا لا وصية لوارث" .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) and others narrate, who were present at the sermon of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on that day, that a part of the speech of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was: Allah Almighty has given every rightful person his due right, therefore, there is no will for any heir.

Hadith Number: 950
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا ابو عامر العقدي ، قال: ثنا سفيان ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن الحارث ، عن علي رضي الله عنه، قال: " قضى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالدين قبل الوصية، وانتم تقرءونها من بعد وصية يوصى بها او دين سورة النساء آية 12، وقضى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالميراث لبني الام والاب، دون بني العلات" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) decreed that debt should be paid before the execution of a bequest, and you (recite in the Qur'an): "after any bequest which was made or debt" () (after the execution of a bequest and payment of debt). Also, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) decreed inheritance in favor of real brothers instead of maternal brothers.
تخریج الحدیث: از غلام مصطفےٰ ظهير امن پوري: «إسناده ضعيفٌ: مسند الإمام أحمد: 1/131، سنن الترمذي: 2094، سنن ابن ماجه: 2715، ابو اسحاق مدلس ہیں، سماع کی تصریح نہیں کی۔ نیز حارث بن عبداللہ جمہور ائمہ محدثین کے نزدیک ”ضعیف“ ہے۔»
Hadith Number: 951
حدثنا ابو سعيد الاشج ، وهارون بن إسحاق ، قالا: ثنا عبدة ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، في قوله: ومن كان فقيرا فلياكل بالمعروف سورة النساء آية 6 قالت:" انزلت في والي اليتيم الذي يصلحه ويقوم عليه، إذا كان محتاجا ان ياكل منه" ، الحديث لهارون.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says:“And whoever is poor, let him eat in a reasonable manner”(An-Nisa: 6). This verse was revealed concerning the guardian of the orphan, who manages and supervises him; if he is in need, he may eat from that wealth. This hadith is narrated by Harun.

Hadith Number: 952
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا عبد الله بن عبد الوهاب الحجبي ، قال: ثنا خالد بن الحارث ، قال: ثنا حسين المعلم ، عن عمرو بن شعيب ، عن ابيه ، عن جده رضي الله عنه، ان رجلا اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: إني فقير وليس لي شيء ولي يتيم، فقال: " كل من مال يتيمك غير مسرف ولا مبذر، او مباذر" ، شك الحجبي، ولا متاثل.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I am needy, I have nothing, and I also have an orphan child with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat from the wealth of the orphan, but be careful not to be extravagant, not to waste, and not to accumulate wealth for yourself.
