Sunan Saeed bin Mansur
بَابُ تَفْسِيرِ سُورَةِ الْمَائِدَةِ
Chapter: Interpretation of Surah Al-Ma'idah
Hadith Number: 711
نا حديج بن معاوية، عن ابي إسحاق، عن ابي ميسرة , قال: " آخر سورة انزلت في القرآن سورة المائدة، وإن فيها لسبع عشرة فريضة" .
Abu Maisarah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The last surah to be revealed in the Noble Qur'an is Surah Al-Ma'idah, and in it seventeen obligations are mentioned, one of which is the statement of Allah, the Exalted: ﴿O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or the sacred month or the sacrificial animals or the garlands [marking them] ﴾.

Hadith Number: 712
نا خالد بن عبد الله، عن بيان , قال: سمعت الشعبي , يقول: " لم ينسخ من المائدة إلا هذه الآية: يايها الذين آمنوا لا تحلوا شعائر الله ولا الشهر الحرام ولا الهدي ولا القلائد سورة المائدة آية 2" .
Al-Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Of the verses of Surah Al-Ma'idah, only this verse has been abrogated: "O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or the sacred month or the sacrificial animals or the garlands."

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلامَ دِينًا}
His (Allah's) saying: {This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion}
Hadith Number: 713
نا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم , قال: نا داود، عن الشعبي , في قوله عز وجل: اليوم اكملت لكم دينكم سورة المائدة آية 3 قال: " نزلت ورسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم واقف بعرفة، حين اضمحل الشرك، وهدمت منار الجاهلية، ولم يطف بالبيت عريان" .
Al-Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The verse ﴿This day I have perfected for you your religion﴾ was revealed when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was standing at Arafah. At that time, polytheism had been eradicated, the signs of ignorance had been wiped out, and no one was circumambulating the Ka'bah naked.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ} .
His (Allah's) saying: {This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them}
Hadith Number: 714
نا إسماعيل بن عياش، عن عبيد الله بن عبيد الكلاعي , قال: سالت مكحولا عن ذبائح عيدات اهل الكتاب والمرتبات لكنائسهم، فتلا هذه الآية: اليوم احل لكم الطيبات وطعام الذين اوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم سورة المائدة آية 5 , قال: " طعامهم ذبائحهم" .
Mak’hool (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the sacrifices of the People of the Book on their festivals and the specific slaughtered animals in their churches, so he recited this verse:“This day all good things have been made lawful for you. The food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them.”Then he said: Their food is their slaughtered animals.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ}
His (Allah's) saying: {And wipe over your heads and your feet to the ankles}
Hadith Number: 715
حدثنا سعيد قال: نا هشيم، قال: نا خالد، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، انه كان يقرا:"فامسحوا برؤوسكم وارجلكم" قال: عاد إلى الغسل.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite the verse: "fa-msahu bi-ru'usikum wa arjulakum" in this way and would say: Its command returns back to washing again.

Hadith Number: 716
حدثنا سعيد قال: نا هشيم، قال: نا ابو محمد مولى قريش، قال: نا عباد بن الربيع، عن علي رضي الله عنه انه كان يقرؤها كذلك.
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) also used to recite the verse ﴿فَامْسَحُوا بِرُؤُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ﴾ in this manner.

Hadith Number: 717
نا هشيم , قال: نا منصور، وعباد انهم سمعوا الحسن , يقرا: وارجلكم .
Ubadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) reciting: "wa arjulakum".

Hadith Number: 718
نا نا هشيم , قال: نا حميد الطويل، عن انس ، انه قرا: وارجلكم .
Humaid al-Tawil (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that he heard Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting: "wa arjulakum".

Hadith Number: 719
نا ابو معاوية، عن هشام بن عروة، عن ابيه، انه" كان يقرا: ارجلكم سورة الانعام آية 65" .
Hisham bin Urwah (may Allah have mercy on them) narrates from his father Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah have mercy on them) that he used to recite the verse as: ﴿وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ﴾.

Hadith Number: 720
نا هشيم , قال: نا داود، وإسماعيل بن ابي خالد، عن الشعبي , انه" كان يقرا: وارجلكم" .
Ismail bin Abi Khalid, may Allah have mercy on him, says about Al-Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him: He used to recite "wa arjulakum".
