Hadith Number: 6248
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The following statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has reached us: "Beware of oppression, for oppression will appear as darknesses on the Day of Resurrection in the presence of Allah Almighty. And beware of foul language, for Allah Almighty does not like those who use foul and obscene speech. And beware of miserliness, for miserliness compelled those before you to shed each other's blood, violate the rights of kinship, and declare lawful those things which were declared unlawful."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Prophets used to lead the Children of Israel. Whenever a Prophet passed away, another Prophet would succeed him. There will be no Prophet after me." The people asked, "What will happen after you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be rulers, and they will be many." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What do you command us to do?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fulfill the pledge to the one to whom the pledge was first given, and give them their rights. Allah, the Exalted, will question them about your rights (i.e., He will take account from them)."

Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to Najran. The people of Najran asked me: Do you not recite this verse:“O sister of Harun! Your father was not a bad man, nor was your mother an unchaste woman.”
(The people of Najran said:) You know how long the period was between Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) and Sayyiduna ‘Isa (peace be upon him), so how could Lady Maryam be the sister of Sayyiduna Harun (peace be upon him)? Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I did not understand what answer to give. I came to Madinah and presented this matter before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When I mentioned this to you, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Did you not tell them this: They used to name (their children) after the Prophets and righteous people who had gone before them, so the brother of Lady Maryam (may Allah be pleased with her) was also named Harun.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It was said to the Children of Israel: 'Enter the gate in a state of prostration and say «حطة» , We will forgive your mistakes.'
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Convey from me, even if it is a single statement. And narrate from the Children of Israel, there is no sin in that. And whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare his abode in Hell.”
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him):“Convey from me, even if it is a single verse,”is a command intended for the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). However, within the generality of this command are included all those people who will come until the Day of Judgment, who, after the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), will convey the commands of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). And this is considered a communal obligation (fard kifayah); when some people fulfill the duty of conveying, the obligation is lifted from the rest. And its obligation becomes necessary upon the person who possesses such knowledge that others do not have; when such a person refrains from spreading his knowledge, he is guilty of betraying the Muslims, and in this case, the obligation becomes incumbent upon him. In this is evidence that the word“verse”(ayah) can be used for the Sunnah, because if the words of the narration were only about the command of the Book and not about the Sunnah, then it would not be possible for both to have the same meaning. And the statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him):“Narrate from the Children of Israel, there is no harm in that,”is in the imperative form, but it is to declare the permissibility of this action, provided that no sin is committed through it. And what is meant by this is that you may narrate those reports from the Children of Israel whose content is found in the Book and the Sunnah; in that case, there will be no harm upon you. The statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him):“Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me,”is, in wording, addressed to the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), but what is meant is all people until the Day of Judgment. Only the Companions are not intended, because Allah Almighty protected the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) from engaging in falsehood. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said this so that those who come after the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), while acquiring, preserving, and narrating the knowledge of the Sunnah, should be mindful of its status and rank, and should strive to avoid the consequence of Hell that results from deliberately attributing a lie to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

Sayyiduna Abu Namla (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once he was sitting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). During that time, a Jew came and said: "Will this deceased person speak?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Allah knows best." The Jew said: "I bear witness that it does speak." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever the People of the Book tell you, neither confirm it nor deny it." The people said: "We believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers. If this statement is true, you will not deny it, and if it is false, you will not confirm it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah destroy the Jews; knowledge was given to them, but (still they went astray)."
