It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A believer is dignified (serious) and gentle, like a familiar camel: if its rein is held and it is led forward, it follows; and if it is driven from behind, it moves; and if you make it sit on a rock, it sits."

It is narrated from Asim bin Suwaid bin Yazid bin Jariyah Ansari, he says: Yahya bin Saeed narrated to me from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The chief of the Banu Ashhal tribe, Sayyiduna Usaid bin Hudair, came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and spoke about a household of Banu Zufar, in which most of the people were women (i.e., there were few men). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed some wealth among the people and gave a share to Banu Zufar as well. (Upon hearing Usaid’s words) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Usaid! (The matter is that) you did not contact us earlier, and what we had has now finished. Now, whenever you hear that I have received grain, come to me and remind me about the matter of those household members.”So, as much as Allah willed, Sayyiduna Usaid waited. Then, grain was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from Khaybar, which included barley and dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributed it among the people. The narrator says: Then he distributed among the Ansar and gave them a lot, and then he distributed among the household of Banu Zufar and gave them a lot as well. Sayyiduna Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him) thanked him and said: O Messenger of Allah! May Allah grant you an excellent and the best reward. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him):“O group of Ansar! May Allah grant you also an excellent and the best reward, for according to my knowledge, you are chaste and patient people, (but remember this much) after me, you will soon see injustice in the distribution of wealth and in matters of authority (and governance), so be patient until you meet me at the Pond.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad! The Hour will not be established until indecency and miserliness become apparent, the trustworthy is considered treacherous and the treacherous is considered trustworthy, «‏‏‏‏وعول» will be destroyed and «تحوت» will become prominent." The Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are «وعول» and «تحوت» ? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: " «وعول» refers to the chiefs and honorable people, and «تحوت» refers to those people who were under the feet of others and whom no one knew."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when suddenly a young man appeared coming from a mountain path. When we saw him, we said: If only this young man would dedicate his youth, vigor, and strength in the way of Allah. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard our words, he said: "Is the way of Allah only that in which one is martyred? Whoever strives for his parents, he is in the way of Allah; whoever strives for his family, he is also in the way of Allah; whoever strives to keep himself chaste, he is also in the way of Allah. Yes, whoever strives to accumulate more wealth, he is in the way of Satan, and according to another narration, in the way of Taghut (false gods)."
