It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was carrying earth with us on the day of the Battle of Ahzab—and according to another narration, on the day of the Battle of Khandaq. The earth had covered the whiteness of his blessed stomach (and according to another narration, the hair on his blessed chest). He (peace and blessings be upon him) was very hairy, and at that time he was reciting the following rajaz poetry of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawahah:
“By Allah! If it were not for You, we would not have been guided,
Nor would we have given charity, nor prayed.
(O Allah!) So send down tranquility upon us,
And make us firm if we meet (the enemy).
Indeed, the oppressors have transgressed against us,
When they seek to cause discord (in our religion),
We will refuse, we will refuse.”
While saying this sentence, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would raise his voice.

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "During the early darkness of the night, keep your children (inside your homes), and after people have gone to sleep at night, avoid conversation, for you do not know which of Allah’s creatures He may spread (on the earth). (At night) close the doors, extinguish the lamps, turn the vessels upside down, and tie the mouth of the water-skins."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were performing the ‘Isha prayer with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), when suddenly Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) climbed onto his back. When he would raise his blessed head, he would gently take them from behind and very affectionately place them on the ground. Then when he would go into prostration, they would climb on again. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer, he would seat them on his thigh, that is, one (on one thigh) and the other (on the other thigh). Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I not take both of them to their mother? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“No.”Meanwhile, when lightning flashed, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Both of you go to your mother.”Then they walked in the light of the lightning until they reached their mother.
