It is narrated from Abu Burdah bin Abu Musa (may Allah have mercy on him) that I went to my father, Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), while he was with (his wife) the daughter of Fadl bin Abbas (Umm Kulthum). I sneezed, but he did not respond to me, and she (Umm Kulthum) sneezed, and he responded to her. I told my mother (Umm Abdullah). When my respected father came to her, she spoke at length and said: My son sneezed, but you did not respond to him, and you responded to her (your wife Umm Kulthum). He said to my mother: Indeed, I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "When one of you sneezes and says «الحمد للہ» , then respond to him, and if he does not say «الحمد للہ» , then do not respond to him." My son sneezed and did not say «الحمد للہ» , so I did not respond to him, and she (Umm Kulthum) sneezed and she said «الحمد للہ» , so I responded to her. She said: You did very well.

There, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present, and people were sitting around him.
Narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I have not seen anyone among the people, in speech, manner, and way of sitting and standing, more resembling the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) than Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her). Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw her coming, he would welcome her, stand up towards her, kiss her, take her by the hand, and seat her in his place. And when the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to her, she would welcome him, stand up towards him, and kiss him. Once, during the illness of the Prophet (peace be upon him) before his death, she came to him, and he welcomed her, kissed her, and spoke to her privately, so she began to weep. Then he whispered to her again, and she laughed. I said to the women: I see this woman superior to other women. She is just one of the women, yet she was just crying and then started laughing. So I asked her: What did the Prophet (peace be upon him) say to you? She replied: Then I would be revealing a secret (if I told you). When the Prophet (peace be upon him) passed away, she told (me): The Prophet (peace be upon him) whispered to me, saying:“I am going to die (in this illness).”Upon hearing this, I wept. Then he whispered to me a second time and said:“You will be the first of my family to join me.”At this, I became happy and this pleased me.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became ill, so we prayed behind him while he was sitting, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was conveying the takbirs of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to the people. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned and saw that we were praying standing. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gestured to us to sit, so we sat down, and then we performed the prayer sitting, following him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) finished the prayer with salam, he said: "Do not start doing as the Persians and Romans do, for they stand before their kings while their kings remain seated. Do not do so. Follow your imams. If the imam prays standing, then you should also pray standing, and if he prays sitting, then you should also pray sitting."
