It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding the interpretation of the statement of the jinn: «﴿وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللّٰهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا﴾ [الجن: 19] » , that when they saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leading the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) in prayer, and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) following him in prayer, bowing when he bowed, and prostrating when he prostrated, they were amazed at the obedience of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) to Mustafa (peace and blessings be upon him). So when they returned to their people, they said that when the servant of Allah, meaning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), stands, it is as if the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) gather around him in a crowd.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), during his final illness, came out with a band tied around his blessed head, ascended the pulpit, praised and glorified Allah, and said: "With regard to my life and my wealth, there is no one who has done more favor to me than Abu Bakr ibn Abi Quhafa (may Allah be pleased with him). If I were to take anyone from among mankind as a close friend (khalil), I would have taken Abu Bakr as my close friend, but the brotherhood of Islam is the best. Close every window opening into this mosque except the window of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him)."

He replied: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you have intercourse with her?" He said: "Yes!" Then, on the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was stoned to death.

And he used to say, "My father, that is, Ibrahim (peace be upon him), used to recite these same words and blow over his two sons, Isma'il and Ishaq (peace be upon them)."
