It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once entered the House of Allah (the Ka'bah), and at that time Usamah bin Zaid, Uthman bin Talhah, and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with them) were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) closed the door, and they remained inside for as long as Allah willed. Then when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, the first person I met was Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and I asked him, "Where did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray?" He replied, "Between the two front pillars." However, I forgot to ask him how many rak'ahs the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) received a piece of land in Khyber as his share. He went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and wanted to consult him about it. So he said, "O Messenger of Allah! A piece of land from Khyber has come to me as my share, and I have never received any wealth better than this. (What do you command me regarding it?)" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you wish, keep its original property with you and give its benefits as charity." So Sayyiduna Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) dedicated it for the poor, close relatives, slaves, warriors, travelers, and guests, and said that there is no harm for the caretaker of this land to eat from it in a good manner or to feed a friend from it, provided he does not intend to accumulate wealth from it.
