مسنَد عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ عمَرَ بنِ الخَطَّابِ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنهمَا
Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith Number: 5245
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا ابن عون ، عن زياد بن جبير ، ان رجلا سال ابن عمر عن رجل نذر ان يصوم يوما، فوافق يومئذ عيد اضحى او يوم فطر؟ فقال ابن عمر :" امر الله بوفاء النذر، ونهانا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن صوم هذا اليوم".
Ziyad bin Jubair says that I saw a man come to Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and ask this question: "I have made a vow that I will fast on such-and-such a day. Now, if that day happens to be Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr, what should I do?" Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied: "Allah has commanded the fulfillment of vows, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden us from fasting on the Day of Sacrifice (the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah)."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، خ : 1994 ، م : 1139 .
Hadith Number: 5246
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، وعبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان ، عن جبلة بن سحيم ، عن ابن عمر ، قال عبد الرحمن: سمعت ابن عمر، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يقرن الرجل بين التمرتين حتى يستاذن اصحابه".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating two dates together without the permission of one's companions.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، خ : 2489 ، م : 2045 .
Hadith Number: 5247
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، عن الاعمش ، عن المنهال وهو ابن عمرو ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عمر ، انه مر على قوم نصبوا دجاجة يرمونها بالنبل، فقال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يمثل بالبهيمة".
Saeed bin Jubair says that once, on a road in Madinah Munawwarah, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) passed by some people and saw that they had tied up a chicken and were practicing their aim on it. Upon this, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade mutilating animals.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح .
Hadith Number: 5248
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا حنظلة ، عن سالم ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من جر ثوبه من الخيلاء، لم ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، م : 2085 .
Hadith Number: 5249
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، ويزيد ، قال: اخبرنا سفيان، عن عبد الله بن دينار ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: اتخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خاتما من ذهب، فاتخذ الناس خواتيمهم من ذهب، فرمى به، وقال:" لن البسه ابدا"، قال يزيد: فنبذ الناس خواتيمهم.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had a ring made of gold. The people also had rings made. Upon this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, threw it away and said, "I will never wear it again." The narrator says that then the people also took off and threw away their rings.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، خ : 5867 .
Hadith Number: 5250
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا ابن ابي رواد ، وسفيان ، عن عمر بن محمد ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان" يجعل فص خاتمه مما يلي بطن كفه".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to turn the stone of his ring towards the palm of his hand.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناداه صحيحان .
Hadith Number: 5251
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا العمري ، عن سعيد المقبري ، ونافع ، ان ابن عمر كان" يلبس السبتية ويتوضا فيها، وذكر ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يفعله".
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to wear shoes made of dyed leather and would perform ablution in them, and he used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also used to do the same.
حكم دارالسلام: حديث صحيح ، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف العمري .
Hadith Number: 5252
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا عاصم بن محمد ، عن ابيه ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لو يعلم الناس ما في الوحدة، ما سار راكب بليل ابدا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If people knew the harm of traveling alone, then no one would travel alone at night."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، خ : 2998 .
Hadith Number: 5253
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا حنظلة ، عن سالم ، عن ابيه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من اقتنى كلبا إلا كلب ضار، او كلب ماشية، نقص من عمله كل يوم قيراطان".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is neither for protection nor a hunting dog, then two qirats will be deducted from his reward every day."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح ، م : 1574 .
Hadith Number: 5254
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، وعبد الرحمن ، عن سفيان ، عن عبد الله بن دينار ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من اقتنى كلبا إلا كلب صيد او ماشية، نقص من عمله كل يوم قيراطان"، قال عبد الرحمن: نقص.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is neither for protection nor a hunting dog, then two qirats will be deducted from his reward every day."
