مسنَد عبد الله بن مسعود رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنه
Musnad of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith Number: 3796
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجين بن المثني ، حدثنا إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن ابي عبيدة ، عن عبد الله ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انه كان" إذا نام، وضع يمينه تحت خده، وقال:" اللهم قني عذابك، يوم تجمع عبادك".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would lie down on his bed to sleep, he would place his right hand under his cheek and would supplicate: «اَللّٰهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَكَ» "O Lord! Save me from the punishment of the Day when You will gather Your servants."
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لانقطاعه، أبو عبيدة لم يسمع من أبيه عبدالله وهو أبوه.
Hadith Number: 3797
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا حجين بن المثنى ، حدثنا إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن ابي عبيدة ، عن عبد الله ، انه كان في المسجد يدعو، فدخل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وهو يدعو، فقال:" سل تعطه"، وهو يقول: اللهم إني اسالك إيمانا لا يرتد، ونعيما لا ينفد، ومرافقة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، في اعلى غرف الجنة، جنة الخلد.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was praying when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said from a distance: "Ask, you will be given." He was supplicating: «اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ إِيمَانًا لَا يَرْتَدُّ وَنَعِيمًا لَا يَنْفَدُ وَمُرَافَقَةَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَعْلَى غُرَفِ الْجَنَّةِ جَنَّةِ الْخُلْدِ» "O Allah! I ask You for such faith in which there is never any apostasy, I ask You for such blessings which never end, and I ask You for the companionship of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the eternal Paradise."
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لانقطاعه، أبو عبيدة لم يسمع من أبيه عبدالله.
Hadith Number: 3798
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن ابي حصين ، عن ابي صالح ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من رآني في المنام، فقد رآني في اليقظة، فإن الشيطان لا يتمثل على صورتي".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sees me in a dream should be certain that he has indeed seen me, for Satan cannot assume my form or appearance."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، وسيأتي فى مسند أبى هريرة.
Hadith Number: 3799
حدثنا وكيع ، عن سفيان ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن ابي الاحوص ، عن عبد الله ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم... مثله.
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain of transmission.
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح.
Hadith Number: 3800
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي الضحى ، عن عبد الله ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن لكل نبي ولاة من النبيين وإن وليي منهم ابي وخليل ربي إبراهيم" قال: ثم قرا: إن اولى الناس بإبراهيم سورة آل عمران آية 68 إلى آخر الآية.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every prophet had a friend (wali) from among the other prophets, and my friend is my father (ancestor) and the intimate friend of my Lord, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse in full: «﴿إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ . . . . .﴾ [آل عمران: 68] » .
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده ضعيف لانقطاعه، أبو الضحى لم يدرك ابن مسعود.
Hadith Number: 3801
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو ، ومؤمل ، قالا: حدثنا سفيان ، عن سماك ، عن عبد الرحمن ، عن عبد الله ، قال: انتهيت إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو في قبة حمراء، قال عبد الملك: من ادم في نحو من اربعين رجلا، فقال:" إنكم مفتوح عليكم، منصورون، ومصيبون، فمن ادرك ذلك منكم، فليتق الله، وليامر بالمعروف، ولينه عن المنكر، وليصل رحمه. (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف)" من كذب علي متعمدا، فليتبوا مقعده من النار"." ومثل الذي يعين قومه على غير الحق، كمثل بعير ردي في بئر، فهو ينزع منها بذنبه".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered us together, and at that time we were forty people. I was the last among them to arrive. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You people will attain victory and help. Whoever among you reaches that time, he should fear Allah, enjoin good, and forbid evil. And whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, he should make his abode in Hell. Whoever supports and helps his tribe in something that is unjust and wrong, his example is like that of a camel which falls into a well and then tries to come out of the well by the support of its tail."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده حسن عند من يصحح سماع عبدالرحمن من أبيه، وضعيف عند من يقول: لم يسمع منه إلا اليسير.
Hadith Number: 3802
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي ، عن سفيان ، عن منصور ، عن سالم بن ابي الجعد ، عن ابيه ، عن ابن مسعود ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ما منكم من احد إلا وقد وكل به قرينه من الجن وقرينه من الملائكة"، قالوا: وإياك يا رسول الله؟ قال:" وإياي، لكن الله اعانني عليه فاسلم، فلا يامرني إلا بخير".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For each one of you, a companion from among the jinn and a companion from among the angels has been appointed." The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Even with you?" He replied: "Yes! But Allah has helped me against him, so now he only commands me to speak the truth."
حكم دارالسلام: إسناده صحيح، م: 2814.
Hadith Number: 3803
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، عن همام ، عن عاصم ، عن ابي وائل ، عن عبد الله ، قال: سمعت رجلا يقرا حم الثلاثين يعني الاحقاف فقرا حرفا، وقرا رجل آخر حرفا، لم يقراه صاحبه، وقرات احرفا، فلم يقراها صاحبي، فانطلقنا إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فاخبرناه، فقال:" لا تختلفوا، فإنما هلك من كان قبلكم باختلافهم"، ثم قال:" انظروا اقراكم رجلا، فخذوا بقراءته".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man reciting Surah Al-Ahqaf, and he was reciting it in a different manner. Another man was reciting it in another way, which was different from his companion, and I was reciting it in a third way, which neither of them were reciting. We went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him about this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not differ, for those before you were destroyed because of their differences." Then he said: "See who among you is the greatest reciter, and adopt his recitation."
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح، إسناده حسن، خ: 2410.
Hadith Number: 3804
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا محمد بن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن يزيد بن ابي زياد ، عن ابي الكنود ، قال: اصبت خاتما من ذهب في بعض المغازي، فلبسته، فاتيت عبد الله ، فاخذه، فوضعه بين لحييه، فمضغه، وقال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان" يتختم بخاتم الذهب" او قال: بحلقة الذهب.
Abu al-Kanood says that in a certain battle I found a gold ring. I wore it and came to Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). He placed it between his two jaws and bit it, and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade gold rings and signet rings.
حكم دارالسلام: صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف يزيد.
Hadith Number: 3805
(حديث مرفوع) حدثنا يزيد ، اخبرنا شعبة ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن الاسود ، عن عبد الله ، قال:" سجد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في سورة النجم"، فما بقي احد من القوم إلا سجد، إلا شيخ اخذ كفا من حصى، فرفعه إلى جبهته، وقال: يكفيني هذا، قال عبد الله: فلقد رايته قتل كافرا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed a prostration of recitation at the end of Surah An-Najm, and all the people also prostrated, except for one man from the Quraysh who took a handful of dust, brought it to his forehead, and prostrated on it, saying, "This is sufficient for me." Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that later, I saw him killed in a state of disbelief.
